  1. Took a 04 5speed manual and a 03 4speed auto for a test drive from a dealer told him I wanted to compare the difference the manual was a bit dare. He told me the usual it's rare a had this and that blah blah any way. I took them for a drive and I'm sold on the manual comparing just transmissions I know there weak. I'm not going to buy that one cause its like twice the price of what I can pick up if I look hard enough. My question is when it does give me troubles is a 6speed manual swap straight forward or is it going to be sell the car and but a 6spd story?. Thanks Guys
  2. Agree I had a set no real grip in the dry and aqua plan heaven in the wet good if you like going side ways everywhere.
  3. Not anything serious I'm not planning on a dyno or track monster just a good amount of power. It would be good just to improve the stock set up a bit if the boost bug bites il guess il learn my le$$on fa$t. Your right in what your saying if I can I might save a little more 6spds a rare even the ones for sale list them as rare so they want more and play that card well. If I do get a manual il just do as your doing and hope for the best. How stock is yours like factory stock? if you don't mind me asking. I'm going to test drive an auto soon as the guys free to see if I can actually live with an auto or is it going to be to boring for me.
  4. Thanks for that yeah I do come across a lot of 5spds and auto's with something always rebuilt on them. Will look out for a 6spd I would get an auto but every auto I've had just lacked that driver feel to it those didn't have a manual shift to them thou.
  5. Hey guys new to the forums and Fords been a Expensive Daewoo v8 guy till now. Been thinking of getting a BA XR6T (budget) sedan read a few past posts of pro's and cons etc. Would like to get some info and views by current owners or past what to avoid and what to get. I prefer manual but I'm sure Ive read some where on here that the autos handle power better. Not going to crazy with it just intake/exhaust/suspension and a little bit of boost or is that going to cook it lol. Thanks for any advice in advance.
