  1. Hi Guys, I've got an 09' FG XR6 Turbo with 140,000 kms on it and would like some more power. What would be the smarter option? 1. Sell it and add like $17K for an FPV F6 2. tune the existing XR6T and be happy. I guess the question I am asking is a tuned XR6T offer better performance than a stock FG F6 ? I am a bit reluctant to spend too much money on such an old car with so many kms... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  2. Hi all, Was hoping anyone could give their advice/opinion on this issue. I purchased a 2009 FG XR6T a few months back, it was inspected by state roads (I know very little about cars) and given a clean bill of health. I only started noticing lately sometimes there is a very odd screeching/rough noise when it accelerating. I have taken it to my local mechanic who did a service etc and said 'she's all good' and said the noise was normal. I still think something may be wrong just doesn't sound right... Would any of you be able to recommend a good/reputable shop in Melbourne who may be able to help? I am a bit hesitant going to the local Ford/FPV dealer as I have heard stories of people just being plain ripped off Thanks everyone! cheers
  3. Hi All, First time poster... great forum! I am looking at buying my first FG XR6 Turbo but the price I can afford is around the $19-$20k mark which leaves me with a few to choose from years 2009-2010 on Carsales (VIC) however all of them have between 100,000-155,000. The few that I've inspected have been well looked after, great service history etc. Most say the kms were 'freeway' but there is no way of knowing for sure. Can anyone give there opinion on purchasing an XR6T with such high kms? should they be avoided ? Thanks guys Cheers
