  1. I would change the thermostat to a std one. Secondly even with a tune I'd look for a vac leak around the manifold. And look for a busted vac line. That's were I would start
  2. Found it it's got a 10 psi actuator spring. Took it for a run today and buy passed the factory boost controller. And wound right out to 10 psi. Now for a flash tune to suit

  4. Today's effort is I found the large back fire it's the centre muffler now I have 2 hotdogs in place. Also for further info new plugs again have helped. Took it for another run and it's got heaps better and power till about 4000rpm. Now I did fuel pump today put in a walbrow 5 bar 320 what I deference wheel spin and sink into the seat up to about 3500 now and then cut out. Started running like a dog running on 3 or 4 cylinders and pinging like no tomorrow. I put a boost gauge on an went for one last drive. This time it hit 7 psi then started doing it again. And finally brought up the code P 1227 over boosting and P 1388. VCT over retarded Can the actuator jam on these
  5. Might sound stupid but check alt charge also make sure your earths at good at ecu to body. Body to eng. and body to batt. I'm working on one ATM alt lights going off but not charging down to 11.9while running it should be 14.2 to 14.8!
  6. Also I disconnect the exhuast and ran heap better also now brought newer plugs and regapped them to 0.9 now it sounds like dropping one cylinder and the load back fire has stopped so I would be guessing it's dropping spark somewhere
  7. Fuel pressure and pump test fine 58 psi at idle wot is 62 psi. What should wot be at
  8. Hi all still sorting this problem out. My 02 xr6t running 2008 engine is misfiring but sounds like In one just one cylinder now. I dropped the exhuast at the cat and the load backfiring has stoped. So I'm guessing it's electrical fault. Now the hard part I've change 2 sets of plugs gapped to 0.9mm. Coil plugs have been replaced done cam sensors and tested cam adjusters which tested fine. Fault code comes up bank 2 over retarded. Please help I'm out of ideas. Should I replace the ecu
  9. Trans was a second hand one I picked up from a mate. It's a turbo box had same numbers as the one I pulled out. And the fuel pumps a new one from Bursons
  10. Hi all I brought an 2002 xr6t with an blown auto I fixed it and then it was miss firing under load. As I thought I had it fixed it bent a Conrod and smashed the bore in no. 5. Anyway I replaced the engine with a 2008 engine basically the head and block and fitted out back with original sensors. I swapped the fuel pump and filters did plugs and coil packs cam sensors tested the cam VCT and test fine. Any one have a clue where to look next ecu or something like that. Coz I'm sick of spend cash with no damn results
