  1. It was rebuilt at some stage, only very basic level though it appears... not that it made much difference when the converter shat the bed and sent bits all through it 😱
  2. Joe from CMS - its his stage 3 box, rated for 1000hp or thereabouts I'll know for sure once I get the invoice lol
  3. Fair enough, stock converters can handle plenty of power I'll be joining the 6R80 club in a week or so
  4. Good to hear mate What converter did you end up with?
  5. Try D&R Diffs at Chipping Norton, Sydney Built my diff, know their stuff and are easy to deal with. 3 old fellas called Glen, Glen and Bob, you know you're in good hands lol https://www.drdifferentials.com
  6. @Bulletime any more feedback on the rebuilt box?
  7. That would suck mate When do you find out?
  8. Is this racial appropriation? Shame, shame I expect more out of you @ilk
  9. Anyone read about this bullsh*t... https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-29/$290-billion-wa-native-title-claim-launched/11749206
  10. Rab: <changes his name to "whatever you want">
  11. 50mmØ yeh that'd be a stretch on the rolls in 2mm lol Fully purged? Finished product pics?
  12. Tempted to say "that's easy with our gear" but then I'd sound like arronm oh wait.... 😝 4" x ≥12" right angle transition?
  13. @bloodycrashboy that pressed not rolled?
  14. Cringeing as I hear the old bastard mechanic doing the pink slip brake test on my ute riding the clutch like a 16yo
  15. @k31th Regardless of previous dramas, won't extra flow from the gutted cat allow it to hit boost limit way earlier? Let alone with 'other mods' mentioned
  16. Given all the history this thing has and the work that's gone into it, really hope we continue to hear about it
  17. Koni reds aren't the cheapest but wayyyy better than stock For a cheap-ish replacement, kyb's or monroe GTs (@MattyP you still have these in your G6ET?) If your rears are on the way out your fronts won't be far behind, makes sense to change them all at the same time. At $400-500 total on ebay etc you can hardly justify not going F+R
  18. @JETURBO should be able to help
  19. genuine coils the way to go https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/IGNITION-COIL-SET-6-COILS-FG-FG-MK2-6-CYL-NA-TURBO-INC-XR6-GENUINE-FORD/251486276130?hash=item3a8dc00a22:g:fUMAAOSw3U1boZDH&frcectupt=true
  20. Check spare wheel is tight underneath for this noise
  21. Both wheels off, bikes in boot, slam to secure. Job done
  22. Def need a go pro set up in the engine bay to capture the special moment 👌 If you mean the OP, "06 TT" means territory turbo not twin turbo lol
  23. @Dan_ fair enough I wasn't trying to be a smart arse. It's more the fact that no one is going to give enough of a sh*t either way about ~5kw here or there from minor mods on their taxi motor to do before/after dyno runs for proof and then make a spreadsheet about it. ^good plan
  24. Unless you're getting it tuned to suit, chasing any sort of measurable economy improvement with minor mods is a fool's errand imho Yes, better airflow may well assist slightly in that department but not something you would expect to be noticeable. Also, any additional power is just begging to be used.....with obvious results in economy. Holesaw through the bottom of the airbox is the best value cheap/free mod in a T, assume it would 's the same in an N/A What sort of 'real' data are you looking for? X.XXkw for a flat panel filter on a 2005 BF N/A XR6 with a catback exhaust...? Edit beat me keef
