Interesting read When I first got my ute tuned back in 2011 (not by current tuner), I also had a similar stalling issue, just when idling at the lights usually. The guy was a fair hike from where I am so I let him know it was an issue, and put up with it until I had spare time. It wasn't so bad for me as mine is manual, could always tell it was about to die and give the throttle a prod. When I took it back to him for a replacement clutch he gave the tune a bit of a tweak...also wrung a few extra ponies out of it so no complaints that's for sure lol...and voila no more stalling Hope your bloke can sort it mate Though if you've been back there a couple of times for him to have a crack at it then yeah you may need to look at other options Good luck with getting a full refund on the tune though lol

This is the puppy http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbo-Billet-Compressor-Wheel-Garrett-GT3582R-3540-61-3-82mm-56-Trim-11-0-Blade-/281370020547?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4182f5cac3 Can also get 6+6 blade version for slightly better mid range but not as much up top Even cheaper now and 99% sure it's out of the same factory: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbo-Billet-Compressor-Wheel-Garrett-GT3582R-3540-61-3-82mm-56-Trim-11-0-Blade-/171669632111?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27f84eb46f Btw my sig is incorrect...should say billet wheeled 3540 as I still have 3" 0.5 housing but can't remember how to edit it lol "Is there much of a gain, or any benefit's to be had from upgrading the compressor housing with the billet wheel. I was under the impression, the gtx has a different front housing with a 4'' inlet." That would basically be a GTX3582 wouldn't it? Or are cores different. Jet?

I did the billet wheel 3540 upgrade, was cheap and works well I think of it more as a DIY option though My GT3576 died, so I got a BF turbo with 12lb actuator for $300, flapper upgrade for $185 by MTQ, ported it myself, kinuguwa 11 blade billet wheel was $250 + $25 postage, got it fitted and vsr balanced for free So total of $760, $460 if I already had the 3540 But as butt plug says new if the budget can stretch, nothing like peace of mind I hear imaginary noises every now and then lol

^^^ This Keen to see how they stack up
-
Wasps they are pricks We live near the bush and always knocking down nests all types from small black ones to striped mothers nearly 40mm long Best weapon I have found when they are on brickwork etc 1x can of inox/wd40/any other flammable aerosol 1x butane lighter - trigger type Hold lighter end an inch in front of aerosol nozzle Aim & squirt aerosol, pull trigger, whooof they drop in 0.25 seconds as their wings fry Start stomping Or if you are doing the lawns at the time Whipper snipper if cord is long enough and you are feeling committed

FG F6 in white...always make me drool Looks sweet mate

Yeah did the National park walk from wattamolla to garie beach and back again with the mrs and a (competitive) mate and his mrs That got me around 24000 and 170 flights (of stairs). By that night had about 26000 steps so was just lazing around around 10.30 and about to go to bed. Then my mate sends me a pic of his fitbit - 31000 steps and 205 flights. Bastard. So on with the asics and ran up to the local oval where there is a set of stairs and didn't stop for a long time. Didn't send him a pic until 11.55 though
-
Ok someone had to start it so may as well be me...for the competitive out there, what's your best effort so far Mine: Steps & flights of stairs

Re-sleeving...as in re-tubing? or something different
-
I'm guessing it just takes your height and weight (though you can specify stride length for both walking and running pace) and works out the energy burnt to take a step - obviously cadence of steps determines if you are strolling>jogging>running
-
Actually their NVH is pretty rubbish...but I reckon I'd live with that
-
xr6T ute and G6ET going nowhere soon
-
WPMO: Lost my fitbit at shops somewhere Have grown embarrassingly attached to the thing in the 3 weeks or so I've had it Really does make you get off your arse and exercise
-
Ah. Happy dyno then Couldn't resist....
-
Going by OP's mod list he has xr LSD
-
Yeah didn't explain that very well did I #coznotpro But 3582 on garrett site will give all the internal specs for ford spec 3540 I have a pic somewhere of 3576 and 3540/3582 comp wheel side by side for comparison when I changed mine over but maybe I've done enough damage lol
-
Correct, 3576 has 76mm od comp wheel / exducer, 3582 has 82mm... Like I said above, both have 0.5AR housing / cover, but 3576 has smaller intake internal diameter as it's got the smaller comp wheel. Both have 3" / 76mm outer diameter intake
-
Can't paste a link right now but if you go to the turbo section there's a pinned thread called "what is the std turbo in FG" or words to that effect - should help Technically correct name for 3540 as in our cars is 3582 which will be on the garrett website. All BA and BF models and FG F6 all have GT3582r FG xr6T has GT3576r which from memory is not a std garrett model(??) All these are 0.5AR with basically the same cover, just that 3576 has smaller ID intake to make 0.5AR with the smaller exducer Turbine is the same. Hope this helps

Nice ride bud! Any more details - turbo, cooler, driveline etc?
-
Yeah ok I'm fairly kind to my driveline and its never been flogged down the strip yet and unlikely to do so more than once or twice so fairly confident re-tube will do the job ok

Lol incorrect We do have an orbital auto welder but its too much a bit of a pain in the arse to set up for this job - lot of welding to be done in the roof space etc so its manual all the way
-
Can't help but pics if/when you can make it happen I take it that would have to be external type? ie. slides out above the roof not internal due to lack of room
