  1. *limb sh*t I love being a grammar nazi Maybe something like an achilles 123s semi would go ok? Edit Ditch that, looks like they only go up to 18"
  2. killer price there...whereabouts?
  3. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-New-245-35-19-NITTO-INVO-Tyres-ULTIMATE-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-2014-2453519-/231732150983?hash=item35f45002c7:g:-ggAAOSwgQ9V3n~8#shpCntId $205/ea for 245/35/19 from St George Tyres Should be somewhere in perth that can match that or at least go close
  4. Pete how about the coolerworx(rapid?) hot side bend I sent you all those months/years ago...should fit? Just need a silicone bend and good to go
  5. That's brutal Is that typical...I presume you've been through a few clutches?
  6. "what are the + and - symbols next to the auto gearstick" my personal favourite even if he was a troll
  7. they're in your engine block Seriously that's a pretty vague line of text I guessing you want to work out what your stock donk can handle and/or what do others recommend for upgrade, at least try a search in the engine workshop section, massive info in there Or if you're after something specific then the blokes in the know are going to ask what build date, km done, power you're making etc etc
  8. Any update on this mate? Btw if you're set on swapping to the small gtx, forum member GeGe6 is selling his http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21890-wa-spotted-chit-chat-thread/page-830#entry1566390
  9. Good work! Any updates from this http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85301-fg-f6-547rwkw/
  10. Don't think it's the turbo that's your issue though, plenty of people running the gtx3582 on these cars with extremely good results The intake temps and humidity obviously isn't helping, but there has to be more to it than that.
  11. FG F6 turbo is a 3540, same as all BA-BF turbo variants, with 0.5 cover and cast comp wheel FG xr6T has 3576, also a 0.5 cover but smaller intake ID and smaller compressor wheel than 3540, different trim etc gt3582 is dfferent again, slightly bigger (cast) comp wheel than 3540, and 0.7 cover with 4" intake gtx3582 is different from gtx3582 only in that the comp wheel is billet, rather than cast, hence lighter and able to spool quicker and harder especially up top Also believe that billet wheel has more surface area as it's machined closer to the centre than a cast wheel is. gtx3576 has 0.6 cover, also with 4" inlet, also billet comp wheel, not sure if comp wheel is different size to cast gt3576 wheel Also pulls harder up top than gt equivalent, but still spools like crazy down low, hence its god status on here I've got a 3540 with a replacement billet comp wheel...so technically a gtx3540.... work that lot out lol All should feel free to flame/correct if I have it wrong Edit: You're correct in that gt/gtx35 turbos have same turbine housing and chra Yeh you can change but then it's not apples for apples as mr marsupial dick would say
  12. +1 for hydro discs... I had avid juicy 7s on that bike which were top notch at the time, they only make it onto xc bikes now I believe
  13. My need is to go fast #boxticked ...just with no headroom or safety margin, I'm aware and accept that risk, as long as the OP does too
  14. Ok so you were properly into it...more of an expensive hobby for me Never could be arsed to enter any races but for a while it's all we did on a Saturday Mostly trails around Wollongong but every summer for a few years we'd do a trip or two to Thredbo or Stromlo or wherever, good times My first DH bike was flogged by some low life pricks along with my brother's brand new (2005 model) DH Team...no contents insurance at the time so $6k down the drain for him This one was an ex Ryan Lennox race bike so it had a damn hard life but decent bits incl 8" manitou dorado carbon forks which you never seem to see now Some serious advances in tech between late 90's and mid noughties...would be whole worlds between the atx and the rocky mountain I'm guessing Just got a Giant Anthem in the garage, really should take it for a thrash a bit more, still good fun
  15. Bringing back memories now ralph You must be a few years older than me...ATX990 was the shiznet, remember early 2000's getting a Giant catalogue and poring thru it for hours on end The DH1 had been out for a few years but I was gobsmacked when I first saw it, the first downhill bike that I remember Later on got into it myself Sold the DH to fund first ute mods Still miss it Can we make this the DH thread?
  16. Just on the spool side of things, IMO the gtx would only spool better than a standard 3582 - gtx has billet (lighter) version of same compressor wheel The 3582/gtx3582 has that larger front cover (0.7) hence slower spool than standard 3540 on BA-F XR6T and all F6's with 0.5 front cover Comes down to setup and tune yes but rule of thumb... Still something wrong with those numbers though
  17. Think he just wants to know if he can just go intank walbro only rather than intank walbro + surge FWIW I'm running only a single intank walbro 460 and making 438rwkw on e85 But I know it's at it's limits so I never get into it with under 1/3 tank Also it's a ute, which I believe aren't as susceptible to surge due to different shaped fuel tank (higher)
  18. Def wouldn't have heard them anyway
  19. Would be very keen if 30 profile! Guess that's what you're changing over to
  20. Good gains for the $$$ More pics? Edit Auto or manual?
