    Repaired my dump pipe again on Saturday Couple of brutal hits underneath had taken their toll I really should drag out the jig I made up years ago and have a crack at making a staino replacement Removed and inspected the cat at the same time, for some reason I'd had this idea that it was starting to sh*t itself, but looks ok to me for 40+K

    Gotcha Pretty sure they were just standard type hose clamps - tridon or similar Now you say it the thought crossed my mind about it biting in but I wasn't in a mood to worry about it Might pull it out - again - this weekend and change if necessary...will give me a reason to make this ring spanner at least You recommend any particular clamps?

    Think I may have gone a fair way past that heat-wise but will definitely try it if there's a next time round Re the dodgy return into the pot - any potential issues you think? I wasn't too worried about the short section of gates hose, the previous return line was fine with no signs of wear, unlike the supply - guessing it's a combination of ethanol and pressure that does the damage?

    Correct they were the same length. From what they told me, they only sell the one length in that hose anyway - 270mm. But even if they were the wrong length, wouldn't explain why they were an absolute *beep* to get on.
