  1. We spend a bit at the local welding suppliers and also know them personally Good price for a welder/screwing them for prices on a bit of filler rod not same/same obviously, but if serious what did you have in mind? Factoring in freight to WA could very well kill any savings made... MBAF I know all about how group buys work lol 1. Good deals on tigs - oh sh*t yeah, 20-30 interested 2. Prices - frig that's not that cheap 10-15 still interested 3. Oh I want mine only scratch start/want ACDC and all options/want speedglas helmet included 5-10 still interested but all want something different 4. Numbers dwindle, about 3-4 left 5. 2 sold after much stuffing around ^^sh*tly put but nah I'm not going there
  2. ^^^This Looks like my post last night never saved but was along the lines of ghp getting hold of an AC/DC tig With his patience and attention to detail I'm guessing he would lay a mean bead with a bit of practice Marcus, can hook you up with one at a good price if you like Edit BTW I'm not talking about ebay junk
  3. Just saw your update in the other thread Get on e85 as soon as you can mate, more power will make all your problems go away lol
  4. Looks tough, nice setting too Is it me or does it look like the sideskirt should be lower for how high the tyre is tucked? Edit 20" D1R with a decent sidewall probably has something to do with it
  5. Serviced it, been a tad over 6K Oil an filter New fuel filter...nut on the rear fuel line section is sort of oval shaped, been a vice grip job the last few times, really need to replace the line New plugs and coils all round Retorqued dump pipe, turbo and manifold bolts/nuts Cleaned throttle body Inoxed solenoid wastegate Quick clean and touch up oil on k&n pod Tidy up engine bay It's had a bit of an intermittent miss/stumble lately while idling and at low revs, on the way to work wed morning got an engine light, pulled a P0356 code. Research said stuffed coil was likely culprit, also due for plugs so did them as well. Tbh the coils looked ok...except #6 had some sort of 6 legged intruder in it, buggered if I know how that got in there. Might get them checked out. Took it for a "diagnostic check" run to pick up pizza, plenty of third gear roll on Mr squiggles, blowing away some 300zx sitting up my arse with an over enthusiastic clown on board gave some lols All seems good, no more miss that I can hear/feel, seems more responsive but probably all in my head.
  6. I always thought there was a sh*tload of matts on here And aarons and dans
  7. WMMFGT This is a shout out for Adelaide Ford Ordered parts 5.30pm Wed, turned up this morning, standard postage Initially went to buy the coils from Macarthur Ford - out of stock, a day or so wait, and ~$360 for a set Adelaide Ford - $204 Decided 3-4 extra days was worth the wait, but less than 48hrs later they're here
  8. there are lies...damned lies....and statistics. FACT Out of interest though what particular stats are you referring to? I may be ignorant but I'm pretty sure that welfare payments if existent would've been pretty thin on the ground back in the 70s and earlier..? Please explaiiiinnnn^^
  9. I thought they did but maybe not Ok just saw keef's reply Just doing a bit of research, copped an engine light and a P0356 on the way to work this morning Was going to change coils and plugs while servicing very soon so see how that goes Bit of checking and plugs are over 30K old, coils never been changed Odo currently at 85xxx
  10. Just bought this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BILLET-SHORT-SHIFTER-6-SPEED-FG-FALCON-FOR-QUICKER-SHIFTS-2008-ON-AF64-2025-/151414861743?hash=item2341076faf:g:nnwAAOxye2lSVM6H Rang the shop to check it's the genuine Aeroflow item (rather than cheap arse copy of which there are plenty) as it was advertised at $178 Yes it is but was a rude shock for the bloke on the phone - someone's stuff up Said he'd hold it for 5 min so I snapped it up Winning Interestingly enough, all the other sellers had dropped their prices to around $200 mark...wonder how long until they go up to the usual 250-300 mark lol
