  1. Hiluxes are alright, not enough power to snap sh*t lol What year model? Don't go past these guys for parts like your winch etc https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au 12,000lb winch for <$400 Quality not bad either, poly rope, my brother has got for his patrol, 12 month warranty A hilux bash plate on fleabay you can get for less than $200 Quality 32x11.5" muddies (bfg etc) for around $1200 - admittedly that's on 15" rims but sunraysias are cheap as If you can fit your own lift kit then have to be less than $1000 for a good quality 50mm front suspension lift So under 3k total mate, get into it
  2. What 4by you got skids? Edit That answered that question
  3. Cheap arse version of the CG lock: We had a spare one in the garage so thought I'd try it, works great. Only $14 if you wanted to buy one http://store.infasecure.com.au/product/547-safe-grip-belt-clamp-red
  4. So probably not the final run? Bugger thought it'd be more interesting than that. But 425rwkw on 98, std 3540, in an auto on 19psi is impressive to say the least...?
  5. Ok expert dyno sheet perusers...here's an interesting one So far, looks good, it's an FG F6 owned by my little brother's mate's brother etc etc Interested so ask for more details and things get interesting - std turbo, auto, 98 fuel...hmmmmmmm Ask for the rest of the dyno sheet... Bahahahaha ~100rwkw at 100kmh...wtf???? Std wastegate actuator which can't hold boost? But it seems controlled enough up top. Ramping up extra soft/slow? Not strapped properly on the dyno? Shonky printout to get a big top end number? Enlighten me, I'm juuust knowledgeable enough to be dangerous.
  6. Fair enough Maybe I'll just work on my shift speed then....
  7. Got my thread mining hi viz gear on. Anything come of this unit?
  8. Whatever way it panned out, sucks balls. Am I the only one who was really looking forward to a disney ending and vids of gunna cutting hoops with his arm out the window screaming "heil ze skid maschine!!!!" ?
  9. Manual labour is good for you puff
  10. If you put rims that narrow on a falcon it will fall over. Good for skids in an NA though... Centre bore is larger as usual on jap wheels, just need centering rings to suit. Falcon is 70.1 from memory. 45 offset may normally be a bit close to control arms on a decent width but 7.5 is puny so won't be a problem. Your car and your coin, but it will look sh*t; on a falcon 17's can look alright if you have decent width and offset but those rims don't have either. Look thru this thread for ideas and sizes that work: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&controller=topic&id=48416

  14. Nice one rab Turns out I've got a fat gouge in the eyeball but no foreign bodies in there the guy could see...not that I made it easy cos my eyes are that bloody sensitive they blink and water when someone mentions putting their contacts in, let alone someone playing around with them, anesthetic eye drops or not
  15. Sitting in a hospital ED for the second time in less than a week. Wholefamily had hardcore gastro for a few days. Then this morning while reading my son a book, he whipped the page over suddenly and caught me in the eye with his finger and/or the page before I could blink. Painful enough but didn't seem big deal. Bit sore at work, suddenly started hurting like fark like something in there that's just moved. Waited for hour and a half at medical centre to be sent to the hospital, sus that I've got a bit of my son's fingernail in my eye.
  16. ^WHS From memory new Gibson tailshaft incl rear uni, and hd centre bearing cost me around $1200 installed from cms. Before that I got a quote from Propeller shaft services in bankstown of around $500 to retube the existing, if you want to go that way. Can't remember if new bearing included though.
