  1. Correct Had a mantic twin plate organic in the ute for 3 or 4 years at ~330rwkw, light pedal and quiet, held ok. More mods and power it was a different story, would start to slip in 3rd at 380rwkw, never mind e85 tune. Bit the bullet and replaced with an NPC twin plate, turns out that the mantic hasn't been installed properly by the old tuner. Something to do with the csc but don't recall details. So that's my inconclusive experience,@tazzanz I'd go with something more proven in these cars (like NPC, mal wood) at your level for sure.
  2. Had a couple of jogs with a ninja on the way home this arvo which mmfg. Think he was a bit taken back, when we pulled up at the lights his first comment was "mate that's farking quick!!" Initiate smug face
  3. 450rwkw on the street is fun, but since you won't get that for 7.3K read this thread http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91528-modding-your-fg-xr6g6e-turbo-take-2/ Little FG turbo maxed out on e85 with a decent intercooler will keep you happy for a while
  4. Hey Pat Are you back at Wholesale Suspension or your signature just out of date?
  5. They look to be in good nick dan... #semisynthorfullsynthlyf
  6. Stock rods and pistons mate Has a hard life but surviving so far at almost 440rwkw Not unheard of for standard FG - and possibly late BF? - motors to push into high 400 rwkw territory with upgraded valve springs and a quality tune if they don't make too many forays into 6k+rpm land @JETURBO tuned a customer's FG f6 with stock donk to around 500rwkw recently for sh*ts and giggles iirc Edit Obviously it all turns into a bit of a lottery at that level for stock parts
  7. 200psi doesn't mean non turbo block if that's what you're saying. 200-205psi across all 6 on mine a couple months ago.
  8. Next thing I remember, was running for the phone Had to get back to the glazier, to fix what had been done "Relax" said the voice mail, "We're off until next week" ".............." Got writers block / finished taking my dump before I could work out a last line... :S
  9. Just quite "swervy"...continually slightly over reacting in steering input, which is understandably way worse is a top heavy LR discovery than it was in the g6e Anyway, home safe
  10. Path, trail, wake, whatever u want to call it....put it this way, a lot of cats eyes are getting a workout No vid

  12. On the way back home from the south coast, got in the back seat 15min ago at kiama for ice cream duty with the kids. Farrrrrrkk I forgot how much I hate the wife's driving... Our path would break a snake's back...keeping my mouth shut though
  13. @PhilMeUp would have to be an expert on this by now Problem is he hasn't been on the forum since September last year, maybe send him a pm Here is one of his threads, enjoy http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90489-2007-fpv-tornado-ute-tinkering-setup/?do=findComment&comment=1592250

  18. OD of a 255/30 matches your 305/25/20 perfectly?
  19. Been trawling through this thread a bit lately, heap of great info Did a few comparisons, seems these days JDM concept standard prices are within $20 of perfect run's landed prices, to the dollar on the 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 kiwamis I've got on order. With JDM concept's 10% (up to 20% on SSR series) off special not finishing until end of December, worth a look if you're after quality jap rims.
  20. As ralph said the other day it's cheap race fuel...1.52 is steep though @BAXRTUTE How come it's so cheap on the central coast...cos hippies? Been 1.36 for months in SW Sydney
