  1. I only understand 10% of what gets discussed in this thread but reading it all gets me slightly aroused. Disturbing I know
  2. Should sort out those pesky tailgaters....
  3. As mentioned above it's easily achievable to have a reliable 300rwkw if quality parts have been used and a tuner with exhaustive experience on the Barra has tuned it. You could buy a stock standard car that is in decent condition and has good service history, and get the mods done yourself; but obviously it's cheaper to buy a car with the mods already done if they're done right. You need to know exactly what's been done and by whom. Here's a good thread to read: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91528-modding-your-fg-xr6g6e-turbo-take-2/ And this one: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83049-should-I-buy-this-xr6t-merged-topic/
  4. ^^this Ultimately will depend on your budget but decent shocks ie. konis or bilsteins make a big difference and should be priority #1 IMO Then springs, kings or lovells coils on the front are cheap as (<$200 on fleabay), exxy bit is the leaf springs - you can pay $850+ for a set of kings/lovells leaves. Cheaper way is to get them reset to get the height down; but the standard leaves have less packs than aftermarket and also aren't reverse eye so when reset will have minimal camber = high possiblity of persistent tramping = potential cv death. A few guys have had good results with having the standard 8mm thick main leaf replaced with a 10mm one while resetting. A set of super pro bushes will stiffen it up even more.
  5. Tried loading the photos again that didn't show up earlier... that work for you @k31th?
  6. Cheers Keith I'll sort those other pics later today
  7. Test fitted the new rims this arvo. Am absolutely rapt with how they look, pics don't do them justice. Ended up going with the 285/30/19 kumho PS91 on the back, cheap at $235/ea from St George tyres. Not a heap of info out there but supposed to be the next step from a ku39. Overall reviews are pretty good, seem popular overseas as a bit of a cheaper knock off of the Michelin PSS which I've got on the front, tread pattern is quite similar. Definitely doesn't look under-tyred on the 10.5 Looks like rear guards will foul, to sort it will probably trim 10-15mm off the guard edge as dan / ozywalker suggested further up. Tyre sits 15mm in from the outer edge Guard edge is 25mm wide Hey @k31th when do I get an upgrade to the 400rwkw sub forum lol
  8. Getting confusing...! I believe arronm knows his sh*t in this area and all the googling I did backs him up, 305 is bloody wide for a 10" rim. But can't argue with proof, looks like it fits ok on yours. Having said that I've read on here and elsewhere that invos are a 'narrow' tyre, I think there's a bit of leeway for manufacturers as far as physical dimensions go. Done a lot of searching and there's plenty of charts like this but haven't been able to find anything like a list or comparison of actual tyre dimensions for for the same spec across different brands. Maybe I should start a thread.... @arronm do you have a pic of the 285 invo on your rim
  9. From memory you've got 10" wide +30 offset which works out pretty close to 9.5 +25 I've got on the back now 10.5 +22 will poke another 14-15mm which is pushing it I'm not real keen about having to tweak rear guards hence looking at 285 to keep them clear...305 would be nice though I'll dummy fit first and see what it's like
  10. Would love to throw on some 305 rs3's but I know they sit wider than normal You saying 305 invos are flush on 10" wide?
  11. Nah playing it safe first set... 255/35 F Michelin PSS Still trying to decide on R Kumho PS91 285/30 leading shortlist atm, cheap as chips at st george right now - $235/ea Edit Nah it was getting interesting puff
  12. Seems OT based on last page of posts but picked up my new rims this arvo... Work Emotion Kiwami 19x9.5 +25 F, 19x10.5 +22 R
  13. You'll have to try harder than that. High speed and skids work much better Cheers
  14. WPMO The amount of bumbling phuckheads on the road after 6.30am compared to only 30min earlier
  15. Reached a milestone in the work hack yesterday 10 years old in November Maybe I should vacuum it to celebrate
  16. This is the thread for you to read...whole thread is 10/10 but start here for what you're after: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90530-my-2010-xr50t-ute/?do=findComment&comment=1633723 Or jump straight to this post http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90530-my-2010-xr50t-ute/?do=findComment&comment=1634633 or this one http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90530-my-2010-xr50t-ute/?do=findComment&comment=1637127 Edit Note guard work required
  17. You might want a voltage booster with an 8mm gap
  18. Ok just looked them up and it's not the roofline I don't like, its either the rear quarter window, the fat triangle c pillar or the rear windscreen that push the ugly buttons for me....can't put my finger on it exactly though, just that general area. Maybe I'm just biased and confused....?
  19. @Pixy Angel Engine swap with the g6et before you sell it, then market it as "special secret squirrel prototype diesel falcon, only 1 of its kind in the world, will take 150k" Profit + quick 4x4 ute = win/win
  20. Had one in my rear view mirror Fri night, didn't recognise it at first. Front end looks great, but the roofline from the B pillar back looks a bit sh*thouse imho. Probably a small price to pay for decent headroom in the second row for someone who needs 4 doors but not a fan personally.
