  1. Been there done that mate That was the family car until 3yrs ago Bolting this bad boy back together after a long hiatus
  2. Yep I did If I was keeping the ute it'd be a different story but putting it up for sale this week. Stock one has lasted almost 12 yrs, 9yrs since first mods, brand new powerbond one should be fine for a while yet
  3. Giving the ute a 3rd gear hit on the way to work the other day, all as normal then hear a bit of a doink, and then a distinct rubbing noise. Curse, pull over and pop the bonnet... "Yo, water pump pulley!" "Na man nobody home" The belt is pretty old and immediately starts to shred from rubbing over the bare pump shaft, flicking all sorts of sh*t around the already grubby bay. Anyway could've been worse... got a new GMB pump - $48 on work trade account which I thought pretty cheap - lucky I was basically across the road from Autopro when it happened. Removed the belt rather than let it make things worse, and limped a few more kays down the road to the mechanic we've started using. Had to stop and let it cool a couple of times but no big deal... no power steer on 255 fronts though, bloody hell it took some effort I knew the balancer was flogged and well overdue to be replaced so got that done at the same time. Just as well!!!! It literally slipped off, probably half a decent 3rd gear roll on away from sh*tting itself spectacularly... cue arronm comment about power vs. cast balancers and pic of the one(s) he's destroyed
  4. Would depend on power level but definitely makes a fair difference. Even between roller dynos there can be substantial differences, plenty of 'happy' dynos out there as well as tuners who aren't above fiddling numbers for wank factor... #bravotangoalpha My first basic mods by Tunehouse back in 2011 were done on their hub dyno, made 375rwkw on full send thru the baby turbo at around 19psi.... on 98 lol Even allowing for some possible dyno sheet magic for a new customer and the fact that manuals read slightly higher, there's no way that combo would've made more than 320~330rwkw on a roller dyno To put it into perspective, 3 years later I got fuel pump, intercooler & turbo mods done, on 98 @ 18psi made 382rwkw on CMS's proven 'honest' mainline roller Original tune 'Real' numbers aside, it pulled bloody hard from the get go.... RIP gt3576 lol
  5. one for @JETURBO... Tuner skill/experience makes a big difference in this area IIRC
  6. @purxr6t are you and @kassan2020 one and the same? BTR builds are few and far between on this forum compared to the ZF but they are out there if you look. Turns out I posted something similar nearly a year ago I know squat about BTR's but one general rule seems to be #dontgotorvo Edit thread below may be useful, would suggest Prestons or DTM are proven hope it helps
  7. 5x internet points for mixing it up Tuesday and today keef 👌
  8. @JETURBO what have you seen from a single 3.5"
  9. You sound lazy-efficient like me, I loathe doing something tricky/time-consuming I know I'll have to re-do not far down the track.... As you pointed out though, you'll want to throw all those other mods at it to make the change worthwhile. I would sit on it for now, put the stock plenum back on and give yourself a target of 3/6/9/12 months to get together funds, parts & a decent window of time to attack it all at once. In the meantime, keep researching and tweaking your wishlist, and most importantly work out who is going to tune it and get their input as well.
  10. ^^This, will allow proper boost control A decent cooler - and pipe kit if you don't already have - will round out the list to maximise potential Personally I'd hold off until you can squeeze the budget to include them
  11. sweet Trying to figure out what makes them cock up sometimes
  12. Srs...? I always load them into the same shared folder so beats me why it works sometimes and not others will try again basically WPMO is I ended up at work with mismatching boots on ffs...
  13. WPMOT Q. If you need to get to work by 4.45am, is 1.25am an intelligent time to get to bed? A.
  14. Lol I've worked with a few and waved them all good bye eventually Lack of options lol Small family business so works a bit differently to your usual "management" setup
  15. Yeh we're doing regular skype sessions but the fact we're custom manufacturers + I'm a sh*thouse delegator + clients who want everything yesterday are now the norm, means she's a-piling up
  16. You weren't... but you could, cos meme inferred it was ok? JK Essential that's me Way too busy to justify being on here tbh but my head needs a break Rest of the office working from home, project communication sucks a fat one
  17. Nah.... Just sayn you and bcb had just turned that on its head and were taking the piss out of fluff for her poor immune system cos mean khunts lol Explaining it now, not so funny... Long day at work is my defence Edit replying to keef
  18. @Mrs Jeturbo I saw this meme recently... "If you don't have anything nice to say ...come sit by me and we can make fun of people together"
  19. Made me giggle https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/business/sa-business-journal/toilet-paper-hoarder-refused-a-refund-on-his-150-packs-and-150-bottles-of-sanitiser/news-story/f82483735cabecab503e6200efeb86e9
