yes mate listen to the people ,I did not .thought it can not be that hard ,but nearly 5 month later I am still doing the v8 to turbo 6 conversion .trust me all the little parts add up $$$$. I was lucky I bought a complete wreck for $2400 and sold about $3000 parts of it but it still cost me so far about $6000 .now I still need a tune and some electrical problems to sort out .but I defiantly had some good times and baaaaaad times ,but in the end I can say I have build my own car (it was not bought that way ) would I do it again, yes I would it was a great experience as I am only a glazier ,with no mechanical experience and have now improved some of my car skills (with the help of 2 great ford forums ) to ask for help

na sorry mate,the traction control light is on (not the abs ) but the traction control can not read the abs .due to the sensors are apparently different to ute and sedan .also both boxes are the same ,just the v8 one is longer .but there are no extra wires coming from both boxes .they both read the speedo of the abs sensors .I phoned redcliffe dyno today and there reply was ,that they can fix the problem .have it booked in in two weeks for a tune as well . so fingers crossed it will be going after that .thanks for everyones help ,every little bit helps .

all the parts from the wreck .what is an oss output ?abs module under centre console ? thanks for the info ,I got everything going but the speedo is not working (still in limp mode )that's probably due to my abs sensors ? going to phone redcliffe dyno today and book it in to get looked at .

auto electrician gave up ,was unable to fix the fault .would I be better of to take it to ford ,or take it to redcliffe dyno

boked a auto electrician for this week to come and have a look ,he said it would be easy to fix .hope so .lucky he is a old mate of mine ,he will also re gas the air con same time he is here .today finished fitting the battery box under the alloy tray

lol me to mate .I had to borrow other peoples phones so that he would answer my calls .I was just so pissed that every day he would blame me for being impassioned (after month of waiting ) I was also waiting on a flapper mod and a turbosmart actuator .thought I would never get the parts .then I threatened to take him to fair trade .had the parts the next day .

wow ,I can not even give parts away . the centre console is ok for spare parts if someone has broken parts that I might have

did it look like mine (short hoses ?) I would never again buy or deal with rapid again .he missed out on selling a fg cooler kit from one of my work mates ,after he realised who he was he canceled the order before the money was transferred . in the end I got it to fit ok ,just cost me time and money .that's cars for you

WA ,that's a bit far may cost a bitt to get it there as they are heavy

just get a air blower and blow the dust out (they clog up from dust )you have to take the fan blades of .water does not hurt them , you think if it rains that no water gets in them . make sure you ware glasses and a mask ,it will be full of dust mate .I have a set of motors if you want them , $ postage only to pay .give me a pm and I get the details of you

the abs sensors are the same (two wires ) have to get a electrician to have a look at . hopefully he can scan the computer ,why this is happening

actually it must have read it of the abs sensors due to when I changed diff gears it still gave the correct speed reading ,but the gearbox did not change automatically .I had to manually change gears

my xt v8 had abs standard (but yes the auto box on the v8 was different ) does that mean I have to get another rear housing ?
