  2. yes that's how the mazda 3 feels like with the ford 2 litre engine ,and it has axle tramp that the front wheel jumps up and down if you try to take off fast
  3. now that is a nice sleeper for your wife to take shopping .it would not mater if it got trolly marks or yellow post marks on it (like my au ford xr 6 one time ) came home and she started crying .I looked at the ute and said that's nothing thought you rode it of the way you carried on .lol .still cost $2500 to get fixed
  4. that's good mate .I only have the old blue cobalt ones ,but mine does read up to 30 psi . there were 2 extra wires that were taped up from last owner ?

  6. it cost me about $175 of cars r us (ba ) they are not hard to fit if its a turbo .but mine used to be a v8 and it was a sh*t of a job ,no room to get your fingers there. got a wheel alignment and all sweet now

  8. so this one can warn you if over boosting ? how light, beeper ? would be good as mine over boosted to 23 psi (only tuned to 15 at the time ) and now after re tune only 12 bugger
  9. can not blame them ,they done nothing wrong . just going to have some fun in it .if it blows up bad luck ,I will just have to fit a better one (atomic ) na I would just buy a fg bottom end

  11. nice wheels and I so want some but I can not fit them to my ute .only 16 inch ,bugger .I was so happy for the first time in 5 month and 2 weeks I could actually drive my ute for the first time with the turbo on full boost .loved it
  12. lol and I just about finished mine .there is a lot of work ahead of you but at least you have the know how ,which I was laking .I like sleeper cars nothing better than them .might have to come for a drive down when I have the tray back on and compliance plates .would love to have a look at it .saw the wrecked car on gumtree .

  14. white cars are just nice to look at ,they always look clean .the tinted windows and the wheels look very smart on it .nice one mate .to detail a car takes some time ,just done my ute (half of yours)just to buff it took about 7 hours
  15. na its parked in the garage for now till I can fit the tray yesterday when I got home I noticed the engine had a rattle like there were marbles inside at idle ,but was unable to find where .thought it was because it was hot coming back from redcliffe to caloundra . so just then I thought I start it up and see if they are still there ,and yes they have not gone away bugger .the engine never had a rattle when I started it up before .thought it might be the timing chain ,but it sounds more like there is clicking noises down both sides of the head and block .its not the injectors as I know that sound and that's all it ever had .but now the rattles are louder then the injectors . might have to get it checked out by a mechanic just started it again and no rattles ,WTF .well it is good news .I am using good oil and filter .using a baldwin -microlite fibreglass oil filter $25 usa made ,and penrite racing 15 full synthetic pao ester oil 15w-50

I never got to drive it with the 327 tune as I bought the car as a wreck ,and then I changed the turbo wheel and fitted the hot side piping instead of the rubber hose .and fitted a turbo smart 36 mm bov .and I did not want to blow the engine up so I got it re tuned f*ck I can still see the smile on jakes face when he got out of the ute ,and said I do not want to go back to work lets do some more skids lol

I can not expect them to tune it past there limits because if it does blow up I would not be happy ether ,and like lee said its there reputation that's on the line .I am happy with the result just thought with the 3.9 diff ratio it would produce more power than 3.46 . on my cortina 4.1 just changing from 2.7 ratio to 3.7 on the dyno I gained 30 hp with no extra mods . the tuning guy at real dyno also said why would anyone change to a lower ratio diff as it is old school ,only good if it was used as a tow truck , and laugh t at me . they also said that I needed a 12 psi actuator not a 7 due to the flapper mod .and elite said to keep the standard 5 on it (who do you believe )
  18. yes I am happy with it just thought I was a number to them as when I payed for it lee never even came out and asked me if I was happy or can they help me in any other way ,I just said from a distance good by and he waved to me .yes I was disappointed that's for sure with the service ,when I got there he said fill this form out .but I had all the dyno runs from elite and the mods to the engine from them as well on photo copies but all he said just write them down .he did not even wanted to have a look at them .then after the dyno was over and I talked to the tuning guy and said that it had more power before he said why I never mention t it before .at that stage I was a bit pissed of as all they had to do is ask .also I wanted them to give me the air temperatures from the cooler ,but all he said what do you want them for ,I am not going to write them down for you its not needed .do not get me wrong they were nice to me but just did not get a good vibe from them personally .I am german and do come across a bit like germans do ,maybe a looot (its in my blood I can not help it ) it was probably just me that picked up the bad vibe and made a big mountain out of nothing
  19. oh well I am no longer in the 300 club lol.real dyno de tuned the engine by 50 rwkw .as they do not want to put there name to it if it blows up (fair enough ) but I still wanted 300 rwkw but they refused to do it .so now I have 284 rwkw at 5300 rpm and 868 nm at 3300 rpm and 741 nm at 4500 rpm .it still feels fast but as soon as it comes on boost all it does is wheel spin first second and third and then I back of as it starts to get a bit sideways .had big grin on my face .went to work and picked up jake ,for a spin around the block .when he got out of the ute he was shaking ,and said f*ck that's got some power .he drives a standard fg turbo ute .just ordered my new tyres
  20. no tray ,and got it there ok . it felt like they thought I was the biggest dick head for doing the conversion from v8 to turbo 6 . even loughed at the heat wrapped exhaust I did so the battery would not get hot . felt like that my ute was to them a heap of sh*t .he said that they could play around a bitt more but had no more time today for it .I would love to have a job like them ,as they just take everything very slowly .I would get sacked if I would be that slow at my job lol
  21. got a dyno done on my ute,but disappointed they de tuned the engine by 50 rwkw .they said they do not want to put there name on the line ,if it blows up .I asked I want at least 300 rwkw but they would not take it past 284 rwkw and 868 nm at 3200 rpm at 12 psi boost . but its ok to drive with only that amount as all it does is wheel spin when it comes on boost first second and third ,it just does not hook up at all .
