  1. that's the thread I was referring too, that cant be right can it? Isn't the f6 intercooler in the fg model alot taller? that would make sense if it were the bf f6
  2. Been looking for ages and I found a thread that said it was pretty much the same specs as the stock XR6T one except thinner but a bit wider? Arnt they a lot taller? If anyone knows it would be a huge help thanks nick

    Wow they are great figures, looking at getting a tune sometime at the end of this month, will keep everyone posted Even the stock power, its just so effortless, cant wait to see what it does with 300rwkw+ Also when I back off the throttle there is a bit of a clunk, apparently that can be normal for an FG? or is it the diff bearings?

    So I picked her up today, I have never been so happy with a purchase in my life!! So smooth and amazing to drive, cant believe how nice it is. So much nicer then my 500hp supra Here are a few snaps I took today Will get some better photos soon First things first, Going to paint the silver grille black with plastdip and leaving the chrome surrounds and also the fog surrounds. Also going to cut the bottom front of the intake (heard its a easy way to force some more air in) as ill end up relocating the battery eventually anyway. In a few weeks im wanting: Intercooling and piping Bigger injectors (maybe fg f6 ones for now as I can get some cheap) I have a 4" dump handy so that will go well with a new cat (is it much louder with the dump? wanting to keep it semi quiet) Propably fuel pump And a tune Hoping to get 300-320rwkw
  7. Thanks McMattyP91 appreciate the help And as to why? Why not, I think it makes the car look better, nothing worse then a nice car having dull looking lights inside or out. Personal preference though.

  10. Looked everywhere and cant find anything. Just curious if there is a G6E front badge? I know they have the obvious ford and FVP and I'm pretty sure you can get an aftermarket XR to suit, so I'm sure someone has made a G6E badge. Thanks

    @ms700 - I understand I need more then those mods to attain 300rwkw, my questing was will those mods handle 300rwkw or will I need bigger injectors or a pw step up cooler..

    They are mc racing Been reading up a lot about the stock CAI, is it honestly better just to cut the bottom front corner and keep it stock with a K&N panel filter in there until I upgrade turbo and go turbo side?

    Hey guys Thought I would start a new thread, I've put down a deposit on my new car and I should be able to pick it up next saturday. Its a black 09 G6E-T with tan interior (tough decision but I'm glad I went with tan over black) Has 72,000ks At the moment the engine is stock but does come With new 20's Tint Lowered Xr8 bonnet So visual wise its half done, heres some pics I'll keep updating as I will want some power very soon. Might be able to get a FG F6 intercooler and injectors, will that handle 300rwkws?

Thanks heaps for the replies, don't worry ill definitely be getting one, looking at buying interstate now, have found a cheap car transporter (around $600 for a 12 hour distance) company is ceva, any one dealt with these people? I'll stick to trying for 300rwkw then do the turbo conversion a little down the track. Most likely service the vehicle myself and I'll research the forums if I need help Thanks guys

  19. Hi guys new to the forums, from QLD. Looking at buying a G6ET soon 09 90,000ks for 22k (have done a bit of research and this seems to be a pretty decent price) Few questions How much does it cost for the 100k service, keep in mind it has full service and log book history all up to date? Also I'm aiming to get around 350rwkw, I've seen a lot of threads that the basics get you around 300rwkw, but haven't several many prices. How much does it take to get the basics done to achieve to 300+ mark It seems like mods to be done on these cars are a lot cheaper to jap cars. My previous car was a 500rwhp supra, will be nice to get into something more smooth. Thanks Nick
