Hey guys, Just picked myself up a fg2 xr6 turbo ute in Octane, Ute has about 20thousand kms on it and im looking at doing a few mods, Im Aiming for around 330-340kw. Im just about to order a Plazmaman turbo side intake, battery relocation kit, and Plazmaman stage 2 cooler, and was wondering can I change all these things over at home and still drive it without the need of a tune? My next step would be bigger injectors, was looking at the Bosch 968's? But I know they are a few years old now and was wondering if theres anything better out now days? Would I be best to upgrade the fuel pump also? Would probably go with the PW double pump system they have for sale. Would most likely be getting it tuned at Bluepower in melbourne. Am I better off getting the Injectors, Fuel pumps, XCAL, valve springs through the tuner? Or would I save a buck if I went to the companies and bought the stuff separately and then went to the tuner and got them to put everything together? I don't have an issue doing anything I can that can be done before requiring a tune, as I have access to a full workshop setup with car hoists etc. So What I'm getting at basically is what can be done before a tune needs to be done before I drive it. I want to get the PW stage 1 stepped cooler, but they don't do polished pipe, would plazmaman pipe work fit with PW cooler? That looks the goods by the way Bizkets

Hey guys, Im just about to order a intercooler kit for the fg2 ute, and was tossing up between the black coated piping or the polished alloy piping, I love the look of the polished alloy but I'm thinking that it won't take long for it to start to look like sh*t and will require a lot of time and effort to keep it looking nice? Has anybody got experience with the polished stuff, say from like plazmaman? Same goes for the CAI turbo side intake I'm getting also, black or the polished version. Once again I do prefer the look of the polished stuff but I'm just worried about how it will start to deteriorate over time, I know alloy tends to go to sh*t in not much time at all if its not coated? Hey guys... Im new to the forums, but am an old member of fordmods.com years ago. I have been out of the ford scene for a few years now but am looking at purchasing a new xr6t ute. My last falcon was a BA Mkii Xr8 ute which I sold a few years ago now. I am planning on putting a order in for a new Fg Mkii Xr6 turbo 6 speed manual ute in winter white. My question is, can anybody recommend a good ford dealer in melbourne/victoria, and perhaps even refer me to a good salesman that works there? I plan on purchasing the ute with: 6 speed manual Winter white Sat nav Leather seats Luxury pack Can anybody give ma clue as to how much I would expect to pay for one with these options drive away?
