WTF is going on on this planet? First France, now Australia falling to madness. (not all Aussies, obviously. I know a good many level headed people from there, and it's a comfort to hear so many on this board preaching tolerance)

I hate to be on the opposite side of this, but.......... when's the last time you checked the history books on your own nation? Just like here, we moved in (Britain), we out numbered, and we changed the entire society to our own liking. History may be repeating itself, with Karma in hand. I know I'm stepping into something here, but I couldn't read that and not point out the hypocricy. I was pretty mortified when I saw this on the news, that so many people in an evolved society were playing on that level.

I can't believe that third guy isn't wearing a seat blet.

Thanks. Haven't been called a cunny funt before either. I've got an '86 Chevy C10 (1/2 tonne) 2WD LWB with a 383 stroker running on propane. You loose a slight amount of power, using propane, but it sure beats spending $12 a day on gas. That's what it cost me to run it when it had a 305 4-bl on gas. But even with the lost power, it's still a beast compared to that old 305. And now it costs me $35 a week, when I drive it every day. It's an ex work truck, so it isn't a show truck. Just a winter vehicle....... with too much torque to drive in the winter. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/336205/4 My wife got rear-ended in this in the summer, so I put a roll pan on instead of a new step bumper. (cost a quarter the amount and looks far better.) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/oldraven/rollpan2.jpg Engine pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/oldraven/clark9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/oldraven/clark8.jpg

I don't know if you guys have seen this one before, but the topic reminded me of this. That's inspiration if I've ever seen it.

There's a vid going around with a fan on a skateboard, on a length of computer paper being pulled backwards. It moved forward with no problems at all.

The main reason there is no engine cover, and it's open to the air. Is it just me, or is that elbow/downpipe just massive, compared to the turbos and exh. manifolds?

406kph! and 0-300kph in 14 seconds.

I've been looking around. Turns out all Firebirds from 1991-1992 had that front clip and hood. So it could be any base Firebird or Formula. The Trans Am had different body work (skirts, air dam) and hood grilles (I'd be hard pressed to call them scoops). I think K.I.T. was an 80's Trans Am. As for the Hoff, anyone who claims to be an actor, but plays on Baywatch, is nothing but a fraud.

They're all getting into this now. Chevy 4500/5500 GMC 4500/5500 International CXT
-
Looks like a Formula (as far as I know, they were Trans-Ams without all the body work). These cars are a dime a dozen over here, and good for 16's stock. Anyway, you can pick one of these up for $500 easily. Good luck finding one that isn't on blocks in someones front yard. But I suppose that would be pretty cool to see one, if they never sold in your country.

It just goes to show you, even a guy who can pull a five tonne with his cock has a softer side. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would have thought after pulling the truck, his cock would have been on the softer side???? As for getting kicked in the nuts b4 doing it!!! I could find other ways of getting amped up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like kicking someone else in the nuts.

I'm with you. In my life I've owned a Subaru, VW, two Fords, a Toyota, a Chevy, and a Jeep. I still have the Ford Chevy and Jeep. My stance is, GM's will run forever, even if their bodies start to lose direction, and Fords run like raped apes, two days at a time.

sh*t. That came as a shock. This guy was top of the heap before Loeb started dominating. Definately a fierce driver. RIP.

I see there's no shortage of rice on the other end of the world.

I think it's just another Galant, so zero.

That '53/03 Vette was never really a production car. As I remember it (which may be a bit off) GM commissioned the car for SEMA for their 50th anny of the Corvette. The company who did the conversion made a limited run and sold them as collector cars. I don't think they are still being made. I'd like to say the retro phase started with the new T-bird, but honesly, it all came with the VW New Beetle. I'm just glad the big three are finally making retro versions of cars that were actually cool. (I'm a T-bird fanatic, but this new roadster is an abomination. An anemic V8 on a sloppy and heavy chassis with two seats yet is as long as a limo. The car Ford copied with this was the '55-57. Guess which was the worst selling series of T-bird ever.) Is that Expensive Daewoo a true concept, or just a show car? If it's a design study for a future model, that's awesome. Chevy could learn something from Holden. Am I crazy, or are there some GM fans on here?

GM is also planning on unveiling the '09 Camaro concept at Detroit this year as well. Nothing like a pony war!

Thanks. I could have just googled Chrysler Australia, I guess. *time lapse* Ah, you have the Crossfire too. The 300 is the flagship for the new RWD LX platform. Interesting stuff. Here, the 300C is HEMI only, and the V6 version is just the 300. Too bad you guys don't have the SRT8. That thing is a beast. Anyway, I happen to like the Dodge LX cars much better than the 300. They have the Magnum and now the Charger.

I know how you feel. The only Aussie car that came to America recently (we're going to forget about the Catera/Commadore for now) the GTO (Monaro) isn't available in Canada. Neither is the Mitsu Evo, or the VW R32, or the Elise. Stupid Canadian crash standards. Does Chrysler have any brands in Australia? As far as I know, this is all but guaranteed to make production, after the success of the retro Mustang. Also, since the HEMI was brought back, there haven't been any two door sports coupes available from DCX to sport it. The only coupes they have are the SRT-10 and Crossfire (a reskined last gen Mercedes SLK). With the huge MOPAR following here, I'd say this is going to get the green light and will make DCX gobs of money.

I don't know what part Chrysler plays in Australia (I know you've got Ford and GM [Holden] but I can't say I've ever heard of an Australian Dodge), but I do know the muscle car scene never really died over there. So I thought you guys might apreciate this new concept from DCX. Rising to the Challenger: Detroit auto show debut for Dodge muscle coupe concept BOB GRITZINGER Posted Date: 11/20/05 To all those purists who still can’t forgive Dodge for building a four-door Charger, here’s your answer: the 2006 Dodge Challenger concept. The Dodge boys released a sketch of the car to the world, but we obtained these exclusive spy photos of the car, which will premiere at the North American International Auto Show in January in Detroit. Challenger draws on the 1970 model as the icon of the series, says Tom Tremont of Chrysler’s Pacifica studio in California. But instead of merely recreating that car, designers tried to build the Challenger most people see in their mind’s eye, without imperfections like the tucked under wheels and long front overhang of the old car. At the same time, the concept incorporates distinctive Challenger cues like the rear fender kick, wide mouth front end, functional hood scoops and rectangular exhaust tips. Built on a shortened Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger chassis (116-inch wheelbase vs. 120 inches), the Challenger gets a 6.1-liter Hemi hooked to a six-speed manual transmission with a pistol grip shifter. All that’s left to ponder is “will they build it?” With all the hardware in place and a primed marketplace, we can’t see why Dodge wouldn’t rise to this challenge. http://autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=103629 The 6.1L HEMI is getting 425hp in SRT8 form in other DCX LX cars, so this should be quite a potent machine.

Big money bling hubcaps is an oxymoron.

I was reffering to the parents argument, that it was a tendancy to roll that made the accident Ford's fault. Obviously, I agree with you guys. It's BS. And the talk of needing a warning label on everything (like the one on my Jeep). Jumping into a pit of aligators may be harmful to your health. No sh*t. If you take a corner like your'e driving F1 in an Explorer, it'll roll over. No sh*t. It's not Ford's fault their customers are too stupid to drive a vehicle as it's meant to be driven. (and by noob, I meant newbie. The guy calling everyone idiots on his second post)

So, that would be like a guy from the US meeting a NASCAR driver. (although, admittedly much cooler. V8 Supercars at least has right hand turns) Thanks.
