  1. http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?f...E7-165F894B0683 It's about half way through.
  2. One of the guys in my local cruising club had a 302 Ford powered Volvo 240DL, before he got his Mustang. It was an extreme sleeper. I'll have to dig up some vids for you.
  3. http://www.wolfpackcc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1100 This guy's quite the character. Completely false, I'm sure, but he's trying really hard. If someone could sign up and call him out, I'd be your best bud for like........... ten minutes.
  4. Trying not to think about the fact that I haven't seen my wife or daughter for two weeks. :(

    My Eb Xr6.....

Maybe where you're at. People are too stupid, here in Alberta, do drive in a roundabout (traffic circle). They don't know how the thing works, then panic, and next thing you know they're swapping paint.
  6. My new one. The most blingin 2.3Ti ever buffed. http://www.turbotbird.com/Carlisle2005/Pictures/Gary%201.JPG
  7. Name: Adam Age: 26 Sex m/f: After name, this is kind of pointless, isn't it? Location city/state: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but will be Antigonish, Nova Scotia come May. Occupation: Mechanical/Architectural Design Drafter. I design hydraulics for the oilfield, and design homes on the side. Currently drive: '91 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4.0L I6 HO/'86 Chevy C10 custom with a 383 stroked small block running on propane. The TurboCoupe is getting an overhaul, and it's winter, so no driving. Married: Yup. A year and a half, with one munchkin crawling and another planned to go in the oven in May.

  9. Congratulations, dude. Our first will be 9 months old in a couple of weeks, and it seems like she just got here. Pregnancy lasts forever, so take advantage of sleeping in, sleeping in general, quietness, and the fact that you get 9 months of Designated Driver out of your wife. Once the baby shows up, time will go by soooooooooo fast. And the ultrasound is when it'll really hit home, for you anyway. Women can feel what's going on. We just have to take their word for it until we see it for ourselves.
  10. Canadian, actually. May as well be a world away, these days. But I know whenever I see 0-60, it's in MPH, 0-100, KPH. Now it's trying to figure what KW and NM means in HP and ft/lbs that gets me confused. The way I'm used to balances power and torque easier since a good balanced engine will have equal numbers. It's strange looking at huge power figures, with what seems like tiny torque numbers, but the engine could be perfectly balanced.
  11. I have that mag. It was the C5, though. Beat it too, until the thing reached flight speed. That was the last of John Lingenfelter's Vettes before he died. On a side note, I used to work on the CF-18 project at SPAR Aerospace at the Edmonton Internatinoal. Very cool job.
  12. 0-60 in 1.97? And then it takes 2 1/2 to got the next 40? I'm wondering if that's a typo. Freakin scary. I love this figure. 15/24 mpg Only in an LS-X.
  13. He provides a link to someone who has already developed a flying car. http://www.moller.com/skycar/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They have been trying to make flying cars for the last 80 years... (Saw a doco on it once...) they have had everything from a car which looks like a UFO (which could explain some of the so called sightings) to a cessna which you can take the wings off it to drive it in normal traffic... And they all fly with varing degrees of success, just none are commercially viable yet... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I remember seeing something on that UFO shaped one. But that wouldn't explain any sightings, since it was a hover car, and never got more than a few feet off the ground.

  15. Correction. Men want every woman to satisfy our two needs. We need to eat too.
  16. I'll take it!
  17. HA HA HA...... no u cant have them as punishment for "electing" George Dubya as president..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't vote for Dubya. I didn't vote for Kerry either. Canadians weren't allowed to vote in the US election. Punish them all you want. But you can share with your commonwealth brothers and sisters.
  18. Dingo's can't bark????? That's f*cked up.
  19. Export to North America.
  20. Do most ducks in Finland wear pants?
  21. ... also, in the case, the 'p' mats were kept besides the 'q' mats, therefore the saying "Mind your p's and q's". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've heard a different version. And since being told to mind your P's and Q's is done in the context of mind your own business, I believe this to be true. P’s n Q’s: it actually means, Mind your Pints and Quarts. In Pubs when people would start arguing, the bartenders would tell them to mind their own drinks... being pints n quarts! Bartenders would use tally marks I.e. 4 pints equal a quart, if the customer got out of line, the bartender would use the phrase, mind your p's and q's. I have also heard the customer would use it when they thought they were being over charged..
  22. One of the reasons is we can now achieve these power levels with emissions controls.
  23. Yeah, because GM has terrible history with turbo v6's. (turbo Buicks and Turbo Trans Am's) This could very well be a huge threat.
  24. CLothes: Socks, Flanel plaid shirt that makes me look like my Dad, a Sweater,.. Stuff: Lego (I get Lego every year from the 'Nova Scotia Santa' as it's labeled), Dragon bookends, SOD's two new CD's, Batman Begins for the PS2 (kick-ass game, boys and girls), The Illustrated History of Nova Scotia-Harry Bruce, Scottish Lights (popular essays on Cape Breton and Eastern Nova Scotia), Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch for the Rebel XT. Stocking Stuffers: Three new brushes, a pack of 36 oil pastels, and four canvases. (I think Santa wants me to start painting again ) From my Daughter: A mug with "Vroom Vroom, See you at Targa Newfoundland" on one side (I talk to her about being my co-driver at the Targa all the time) and This on the other. Coira had so many gifts (first Christmas) that we were burried in bright coloured plastic by breakfast.
  25. They are planing on building a smaller Bugatti, to make a profit with. (Car and Driver Nov '05) $125000 USD with VWAG parts (Lambo, Bentley, etc.) and would be expected to earn a profit the following year.
