  1. Holy sh*t! Those Germans love their liquor. Well, that explains a few things in my life (I've got quite a bit of German in me, and the rest is British/Irish).
  2. Canucks go for them too. I imagine there will be another one, since Pontiac is already talking about importing it as another GTO.
  3. Here is what one of the guys on the FoxTbirdCougar forum slapped together to make a Ba T-bird. It looks pretty damn good, I think. It needs a few distinctly T-bird features, like the way he handled the side windows, but still killer. I really can't understand why Expensive Daewoo has the Manaro but Ford doesn't make a Falcon coupe.
  4. Yes, but that means retooling and that cost will probably be recouped through the MSRP. And yes, I'd be all over the Typhoon, if any did come over.
  5. Maybe we'll see a decent Thunderbird again. I couldn't think of a more suitable platform for a full size RWD Grand Tourer coupe.
  6. You're not stirring the pot, you're telling the truth. Hats off to Australia for remembering what made American cars great while we over here got sick of the cheap imitation.
  7. Probably a good $10G over whatevery you pay. At least that once it crosses the border into Canada. So not very cheap, sadly. Your base Falcon starts at $34G AUD, which is $30G CAD. With shipping costs, LHD conversion, and the magical border crossing expense (that isn't suppost to exist with Free-Trade) and you're seeing something closer to $40G. Still, Ford has nothing close in its linup right now, and it should be a hot seller with the retired Baby Boomers and their well to do kids.
  8. Really? Oops. Sorry. I hadn't heard any plans for Ford to import the Falcon to America until now. I guess I wasn't looking in the right places.
  9. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=121021 f*ckin' eh, byes! It looks like my wish is finally coming true. "DEARBORN, Mich. — Spies in Michigan recently snagged this photo of the next generation, Australian-built Ford Falcon sedan as it was being unpacked from a shipping crate in Dearborn. Although the Falcon has no equivalent U.S. model, the fact that Ford brought one all the way to Dearborn for testing is fueling speculation that a new full-size, rear-wheel-drive sedan for the States is under consideration. This follows GM's announcement earlier this year that it would import one of its Australian-built rear-wheel-drive sedans and rebadge it as the Pontiac G8. Both Ford and GM have been ramping up their rear-wheel-drive programs after witnessing the success of Chrysler's 300 sedan. The current Ford Falcon is offered in various trims ranging from your basic six-cylinder family sedan to the V8-powered sport XR8 with 350 horsepower. There are also several models tuned by Ford Performance Vehicles. We recently tested the Ford Falcon Boss 290 in Australia and managed to squeeze a 5.7-second 0-60 time and a 14.5-second quarter-mile. Not bad for a sedan the size of a Dodge Charger. What this means to you: A full-size, rear-wheel-drive sedan from Ford could be in your future if the Falcon impresses the right people in Dearborn." There had better be an XR6. I need new pants.
  10. I don't know your strengths, weaknesses, or skills, so that's a hard call to make. All I can say is find something and do it. There's nothing more satisfying than doing a job to make yourself richer, not someone else. If you look at the 'crust' thread (which is a phrase that leaves me quite in the dark) it explains what my Wife and I do as a home business. Go for it, man.

Back in the real world Jack is a real piece of sh*t. I think Dharma found them at the end of this season. (the boat just offshore)

I've been watching it since they first went down. It never really starts making sense. Now they introduced a new mystery man. Damn, just when I was about to get some kind of grasp. The lastest flashback isn't a flashback? WTF? I should stop there before I ruin it for you.
  13. Thanks guys. Things are going pretty well over here on the other side. The government is yet another kind of insane, but what can you expect? How about your kneck of the wood? I hear (because Phoon mentioned it) that's there's a new Falcon coming. It survives another generation. I read an article on Edmunds about a new FPV. They were asking what the hell was wrong with Dearborn too.
  14. Awesome news, man. Congratulations! So is mine!!! Yes, Ange is pregnant again. Our first (Coira) just turned two and the next one is due early November. Oh, and we're moving into our new house in a little over a month. .........none of you know who I am, do you?
  15. I realised I haven't been on here since the family moved back east. We're in Nova Scotia again (one of Canada's Maritime Provinces) so a job change is obvious. The wife and I started a home design company (A & A Reeves Design/Architectural Drafting) last June and have been fairly busy with it since. Angela works on that mostly, doing the large majority of drafting, while I go to site meetings and client consultations as well as help with design input. For a day job, I detail rebar for a local strucural steel supplier. It sounds boring, but I'll explain it roughly. When a big building is being designed, the concrete and masonry is layed out by an architectural firm, who asks us to design the reinforcement (rebar) so the placers know how to bend, cut, and place the rebar in the forms. From local jobs to buildings in Honolulu. It pays the bills.
  16. Another day, another stupid emo kid to laugh at.
  17. Why the US has no future.... http://www.dumpalink.com/media/1145694954/..._Emo_Queen_like "So, like, I just thought that would help you realize that I'm, like, not just a poser, and I like, understand pain and sadness" Comb your hair, girl. And eat some chicken, so the birds aren't like dying for like no reason.

    Names

    Adam, for the original answer.
  20. Depends on the Americans. In the Maritimes, we'd call it Briz-bun.
  21. Hey, Merv. Would you like some of my shoe? I don't think I can eat the whole foot on my own. That alone puts Merv in my good books. DrGreasemonkey needs to get shut down once in a while.
  22. Well, it's a domestic muscle Cruising Club (but they let me tag along, even though I'm running half the pots. That fourpot made more power than the 302 in the 80's, though.). It just so happens we only have two Camaros and the rest are pretty much Mustangs.
  23. Well, yes............ precisely.
  24. Once we showed disbelief, Merv all of a sudden tones it down, a lot. I don't know. Personally, when I present myself to non-Canadians online, I don't talk like a drunken Irisman (it's kind of the accent of the Maritimes, believe it or not) who's wearing a fishing hat, flannel, and rubber boots. Merv, just say you're Australian. We already know all the stereotypes; we don't really need you to fit them all into one post. *edit* And yes. Tony's definately the coolest guy on the boards. I only wish I had half his nifty skilz. (See Merv, I can use Sarcasm too )
  25. Wicked. Thanks Geea. And don't worry about Tony, he's an as*hole by nature. You eventually realise it's the only way he knows how to talk to people. Then you just feel sorry for the guy.
