    Xcal 3 Issue

try flashing with a battery charger hooked up. the ford ECU requires 18V to prep the eeprom for flashing and the SCT sometimes struggles to make the 18V adding a battery charger bumps up the batt voltage to help the sct hit 18V (remeber your alternator aint running to expect only about 12V at the battery, with charger should be about above 13V )
  3. what are you trying to acheive? are u adding amps?
  4. the power suppy for the premo amp is NOT good enough to power just about any aftermarket amp. I have an alpine pxe-h660 for sale if your interested
  5. let me do a bit of reaserch before we go head on into this project. need to know a few things be4 we order the interface.
  6. I spoke to my car , it said its happy to be a guniea pig has been a guniea pig on many projects!
  7. http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=423&CategoryID=30 5 people x $20 each + my time = many surprised looks when youe beast remote starts! I have high hopes that with a little research this could be a goer!
  8. I smell a WIP thread coming on (im poor , but willing to help anyone who is interested. you can buy cheap remote start kits off ebay for penuts. u will also need the canbus interface kit from PAC.(not sure what this costs) and some1 from inside ford to feed us the PATS pids. id love to at least do a remote start alarm kit (the viper would be kool, although not nesessary
  9. that's y u need a neutral switch array on the gearstick! just 4 little switches that look at the geasr stick and make sure its in netural be4 allowing a (remote) start to happen!!!
  10. More research required here. Ppl have made it work with the canbus interface. The hardest thing is the pid u need to fool the Bem into thinking the pats control is seeing a key at the transponder
  11. or change the boot lighy to a LED type (light emmiting Diode) didnt you say the workshop had the ICC out to fit the new alarm ?
  12. the viper has a digital out that connects to the CANbus interface, that sets the PID active high when the car is about to remote start. when the key is inserted , the canbus goes to sleep till the next wake event from the viper. im not 100% on the viper , but surly there is and valet/override switch in the system if it faults the hardest thing would be to find the PID that's the PATS value (need an insider at ford to help) (may already be known)
  13. If you can drive a multimeter or follow my simple instructions you can do it yourself
  14. hey rus , what poweru got in that thing, my list of mods are similar but auto, just curious
  15. get soe dynamat for the rear shelf improves its 110%
  16. screw ford , just replace the 02 sensor yaslef , dont pay 500 ffor diag then 300 or a 50 buck sensor
  17. funniest sight , an orange XR6 NON turbo with "shhh...im lion hunting" on the back window
  18. yes a universal button will work yes the viper is a great bit og kit , but requires a PATS override module on the CAN bus to fool the BEM into thinking a key transponder is is range of the key.
  19. Myself an.rynof6 are heading to Harry's for pies. Any1 wanna join in on some lion taming 0406 603 351 gimme a buzz and I'll tell you where we are
  20. Install a diode into the boot light that will fix the alarm problem. It's common for the diode in the light to fail. I'd say the ICC wasn't re seated correctly.
  21. Please use the search feature as this topic. Has been covered multiple times already Lift the surround around the gear selector (lift drink cup holder up to make it Easyier) Undo the 2 Phillip head screws the hold on the side covers Undo the 2 screws holding the tissue box/ power socket. Fit aux socket. Run wires to behind fuse panel. Power socket is the blue 4 pin. Audio is the. 5 pin socket adjacent to the power socket. And then press am twice to enable aux connection
  22. Mate get your self an alpine pxe-h660 off eBay. For about 300. This bit of gear is tops bang for buck value Eq dsp and time correction with an easy to set up package Comes with a setup cd and mic put the cd in the ICC Press a button on the remote and it sets itself up for compensating for bass roll off and all And provides a flat response curve. The u sit the mic in a few different spots and it sets the eq and time correction Then turn up ya gains and your rocking ! I will be doing an install write up of this unit over the Chrissy break U can't beat this unit at this price. For features If money is no object then go for the audioson bit.1 At around 1000 bucks plus install As this unit requires a real time analyser And lots of time to setup But the results are fantastic But based on the details you have given id say the alpine is the unit for you As the bit.1 will only sound great when backed by high sq amps and speakers Hope that helps you. If u want a cheaper option go the audio control lc6i I'll have one up for sale soon
