Hey boys I bought my XR6T only 3 weeks ago without knowing of this site... if I had I probably would've waited for a MK2 6 speed but I was impatient (after seeing PASHEN) and had to have one after only 1 drive... so I bought a 5 speed phantom XR6T and ordered my new personalized plates from Vic Roads to match I then went looking for something to fill me in on all things XR6T and found this site (which is wicked by the way ) I searched and I found this site. Then looking for interesting stuff I found and downloaded the video's of BCL's car (mad car mate, can only wish my car was like that, given time it will be hopefully)... what an animal. I take a closer look at the dyno video and the plates on his car are exactly the same as the new plates that I have ordered for my car... feel like a bit of a goose now because I look like a copy cat... but I am still over the moon none the less because I reckon the plates rock... BCL I hope you aren't angry at me for copying (unknowingly as it is) the plates from your car... So if you see a phantom sedan sporting the plates XR6T8U cruising around Melbourne it is me feel free to say g'day Jack

Hey Guys, I am 27 and from Ferntree Gully in Melbourne (eastern suburbs) and tried AAMI as my folks are with them, no claim history, thefts or frauds and could go ahead from an 'online quote' to purchase for around $1100.00 a year but thought I would ring instead just to make sure and got all the way to the end of quote on the phone and was asked how old I was... said I was 27 and the guy on the phone tells me I will have to go through Just Cars because I have to be over 30 years old to insure an XR6 Turbo with AAMI, so anyway I get on to do the quote with Just Cars and it ends up being slightly cheaper than AAMI who underwrite Just Cars anyway... only about $50.00 but still better in my pocket than their's. RACV was about $1100.00 as well... Once those 3 came back about the same I stopped looking because I figure they are all going to be exactly the same... Still it's HEAPS cheaper than my previous car... an older, slower, heavier on fuel, outdated 1994 HSV Senator 215i which was insured through Shannons for just under $2000.00 a year and they were $1000 cheaper than RACV who wanted $3000.00 a year for the Senator... Coudn't be happier with the XR Jack :w00t:

My first post as a Ford owner... But have to post here in this one, my last car was a HSV Senator 215i... and all it took was one drive of a stock XR6 Turbo and I had to have one, can't imagine what a boosted one is like The only problem is all of my mates have nicknamed me 'Lowndesy' because I have switched from Expensive Daewoo to Ford Though I can deal with that because I am now I waking up before my alarm clock for work and look forward to the end of work each day and basically any other time of the day when I get to drive my new car So much fun I also drove it in the wet tonight for the 1st time coming home from the AME show in Melbourne and compared to my Senator what a handful... gotta love it can't even begin to imagine what XRTWPN and GEEA33 would be like to drive in these conditions though I have already been down to see the boys at HPF... so hopefully I will know soon to some degree :) Anyway I am Jack and I am 'gulp' a proud FORD owner Jack
