  1. Alright, it's update time again The new tailshaft is in the car and mickey mouse! Very happy with it indeed. I has helped to quieten the driveline noise I had started to get in the last couple of months. The centre bearing in the old one was munted anyway so that would account for that... I'll be heading out to Heathcote on Sunday if anyone is interested for a bit of fun too! Would be cool to put a face to a few names here! My brand spanking ZF has been dropped off at the skunk works that is Blue Power in Campbellfield. Billet input shaft will be going in along with a full performance rebuild to suit, it's all a bit secret squirrel at the moment but talk of extra clutches as well and a couple of tricks to be performed too so it'll be all good! As I was at work when Theo rang it made it a bit difficult to discuss as I was busy. I've taken the BBS wheels off the car too, back to the stealth bomber look with just the factory wheels it's a farkin slippery customer on only a 245 tyre, even if it is the top of the street tyre tree from Toyo. Good fun on 2nd gear skates though! Jack
  2. Congrats on the 10!! What mods? Once again well played! You have the quickest and fastest ZF G6ET in the country. Nice title to hold! Jack
  3. That's right, proper support for the diff and cradle is required. That means the rear bush but also the ones on either side too. Jack
  4. Not sure where you are located there Tony but Essendon Ford do tailshaft balancing on the car. That would be my first port of call I too have had my tailshaft done in the last week but thankfully don't have any problems with vibration. Jack
  5. Bad things happened at Kilmore Adam..... but thanks to you the breakage my car had on the line at Heathcote was fixed but not before the tow truck driver did just over 3 grands worth of panel damage getting it off the truck, basically ripped off the drivers door. Left me carrying the bag, as the car was off his truck and was then technically out of his control... even though he was steering it underneath an awning out the front of the service department. Which funnily enough isn't even there anymore... Jack
  6. Below is a link to RACV Total Care. http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/Internet/Primary/roadside+assistance/car/total+care I have it for the sole reason that I race my car at Heathcote. Having a highly modified car it will help around town too in case of an emergency. They will tow the car to your choice of workshop in the metropolitan area or pay for the first 100kms when over 100kms from the city and they will also provide for a cab to get home. Cheap insurance really if you race your car regularly. I hurt my old BA XR6T (CV on the line) at Heathcote on a Sunday and Public Holiday to boot... just under $500 to tow it to Kilmore... I lived in Ferntree Gully at the time. A complete F around to be honest. It's transferable too... it basically applies to the car you're driving at the time. Jack
  7. Awesome! As above... ultimate street car! Jack
  8. Strong car. Actually it's a crazy strong car. Drive there and home again with MT's in the boot? Jack
  9. Haha my fault! Not a bad thing to be blamed for... GTX! Jack
  10. I'm getting better at it lol Jack
  11. Nah not interested in trying on street tyres, it's just a bit too slippery to be honest. It's more fun on slicks for me anyway Jack
  12. Wheels look phenomenal! Well played on that one They give the car so much presence mate. Jack
  13. Nice result bud! I was chatting to Theo while they had your car there Good luck with it! Jack
  14. Another small update Everyone loves their mates! Especially when they share the same passion for cars and even better proper fast Fords! So from that, one of my best mates bought himself an FG GS Coyote blown 5L a little while ago. I helped him get in to a great car. With tune done already (VCM Suite... will be a BPR Tune soon) came with KPM catback, 20" Argent copies with 10" rear. A wonderful car made better with 6 spot Brembo's up front now. He was looking on with all the stuff with my car and couldn't wait till he too was able to head to Blue Power just a service first to set him up for tune time soon enough Theo set him up with a Performance service on his car. Superb service again lads even short handed as you were. Bazza is still talking about it now! Now on to my stuff This is my mate Baz... 'working' on my new tailshaft. Gotta love the boys at BPR. Take a photo and send it to him just to tease Baz says... Nah they always know better... grab a tool and pretend to work on it and then we'll take the pic and send it on The new tailshaft has been strengthened on both the front and the rear section. Detail of that right now is a bit thin unfortunately as Chris organised it all for me and wasn't available to explain what was done just yet (his young fella has been sick the last few days). I'm not in a position just right now being 70km or something from them during the day due to work anyway but it will be fitted soon enough Then it's time to get my spare ZF to the boys billet input shaft time The long hours and travel etc for work are starting to pay off! Jack
  15. Cheers bud My new upgraded tailshaft is now available too! Next will be input shaft and really lean on the tune! Head for a nice 10! Can't wait! Jack
  16. Good luck with it Sly! It will tear ass with the mods you've got for it! Jack
  17. It dyno'd at 394rwkw. Blacktop dyno so far the best MPH is 123.5 with limited opportunities (read: none so far) to run it in ideal conditions. Jack
  18. A cracking good job you did on yours too Dave! Harrop TruTrac here... Jack
  19. 11.48 @ 123 so far. The plan is now on for a 10 sec daily driver Jack
  20. Ha... Right at this stage I would prefer not to change the intercooler simply because the PWR is already there when we lean harder on the ZF I have a feeling I'm going to need a billet input shaft before a bigger intercooler. We'll see! It gonna be a fun few months either way! Did I pass someone from 200m back? What day did you see me? Bip the horn next time Jack
  21. Will-82 the best I have (and it's still crap) is the car running for the first time out at Heathcote. It's the last car on the video. The video shows my absolute lack of prowess at the burnout as it runs an 11.7 or something like that... just for fun the 'burnout' didn't even strip the stickers completely from my brand new slicks hahahaha http://www.fullboost.com.au/video.php?id=894&startRow=0&endRow=10&page=1&year=2012 Pookey I reckon Senna is right on that, it's going to take a more aggressive tune for starters down low but also more power. Currently the car has under 400 at the wheels and we are going to have to change that Jack
  22. To add to this... on pump 98 fuel too. Should get close as I don't really have E85 available to daily drive the car with and I am not interested in dropping fuel out and changing tunes etc just to race the car. Jack
  23. We'll be keeping the ZF and the GTX 35/82R turbo. I've just tonight layed the plan with Blue Power and they will now formulate what is required to make my G6ET a daily driver 10 sec car Jack
  24. It's time to turn this daily driver in to a 10 sec street car. Watch this space Jack
