  1. Happy Australia Day!! Wasn't the master but I ate well and can tell you I certainly knocked back a couple Boag's... What Coopers did you have? Nice to see they have fended off the takeover from Woolworths... Nice one... If only we had tomorrow off too... 4 day weekend anyone? Jack
  2. Love cats... And I am allergic to them too... Dogs are too needy... Here's an action shot of our puss Nice Jack

    Who Was It?

    Nice... very nice! Jack
  5. For those that are referring to the Nizpro Territory here is a few pics... The second pic is of the car at the drags running an 11 sec qtr... Not bad for a grocery getter Jack
  6. I don't think they are the same car... Macktheknife is located in Brisvegas... This one is located in the Nth suburbs of Melbourne... That SHEEP HUNTER in your sig is hilarious, I have quite a few kiwi mates and they reckon it's a pearler too... Nice Jack
  7. As stated above... Here is a pic of what the build plate looks like... It is located next to the radiator resevoir on the left hand side of the engine bay near drivers side strut tower... Jack Edit-If your really keen, then it's worth having a look, maybe one of us from here could meet you at the airport or something and go and have a look at it together... at least then you have the opportunity to compare two of the same car at once too... and you won't have to worry about catching cabs all over the place too... Jack
  8. No probs mate, unfortunately you are hamstrung by your location so make sure you dot all the I's and cross all the t's... Good Luck with it... Jack Edit-Ask him for the SIDO as well, and then tomorrow or weekend go to your local Ford dealer (if you have one) and ask for the cars history... Won't give you heaps of info but the more info the better...
  9. I think you will find that it's Bar and Plate and it's not a brand, but one of their own intercoolers, and Rajab have a couple of the fastest VL Turbo's in the country... Here is a link to Rajab Racing Developments... and here is the intercooler they are talking about I think... What aftermarket computer have they used? Or is it a Unichip or Edit? Why is he selling it? Does it have a full service history as well? How many owners has it had? Edit- The TTH-187 rego is a very new re-registration in Victoria as well so it looks as though it was re-registered in August 2005 as the current reg runs out in Aug 2006, ask him why the car required re-registering or why it ran out of reg in the first place... also ask him where he bought the car from originally... Who Was It?

I'll have a guess... I reckon he might have won... Jack
  11. Hobart... ah, ok... Sorry, because I'm from Melbourne, I think everyone is from Melbourne... daft I know... but it works for me Neither did I think it was necessary, but it gives you options to upgrade fairly cheaply to incar DVD down the track... and you get an indash stacker, not to mention the colour screen display which looks trick too and the extra speakers... Jack
  12. Sure is mate... December 2002 first reg March 2003. I've only had 2 problems with my car, both covered by warranty, and they are the shifter block replaced in my T5 which sured up the shift as it was crunching in to 5th gear, but I don't think that will affect you as the cars you have linked to are auto... And I broke a driveshaft at Heathcote Raceway, but I was racing it at the time... so I'll give you one guess as to who's fault that was... Other than that, I haven't had any problems at all... touch wood... If you have concerns about the vehicle you are looking at you can get the SIDO no. off the build plate and take it to your local FORD dealer and they can run the no. on their computer to see how many, if any warranty claims there have been... I did this as soon as I bought my car and the only warranty claims were for brake shudder that required disc machining... If I had my time again, I would have bought an auto, and made sure I got prem sound, leather and sunroof... but I was too anxious to get a T... Jack
  13. The 'and here' carsales link doesn't work for me... But I had a look at his ebay ad and it looks good... ask him if you can go and have a look at it... Make sure you get premium sound, as you will want it if you don't get it... and leather and sunroof are always cool... Wish I had them... Jack
  14. Cheers mate... Nah, I'll keep the XR badge, I like it... looks different, I get heaps of comments on them... what I was thinking of doing is getting the black 'turbo' badge and swapping it for the red one on the boot lid... What do you reckon? Jack
  15. Hey mate... Cool plates!! Like them very much, nice car too mate... Go without the spoiler... and join the club Here is two pics of my car without the spoiler... I was able to swap my spoilered boot for a standard one for nothing and then only painting is required... Hope this helps... Jack

    Failed Epa Test

That's it mate... Gotta have em... I eventually got it down to 91dB in the corolla before I performed the above 'modification' and got down to 87dB and a pass.. my GOD it was loud before that though... the neighbours hated me... to tell you the truth, I hated the car, it was too loud... The Senator on the other hand was and always was 89dB, just defected twice for it for being too loud... but it never was... go figure, the fuzz are only guessing anyway when they dob you in... Good Luck with it... Jack

    Failed Epa Test

Good luck with it mate... as I said don't stress about it too much, it's not worth it, you will pass it if you really want to, just a matter of time or $... in that order. I have passed and failed 4 or 5 tests... more of pain in the as$... my corolla on it's first run made 109db... as you can imagine I failed but the tester said it was one of his loudest... not something to be proud of but as a P-Plater at the time I was... Failed Epa Test

Don't stress... Just get it below 90dB and you will be fine, shouldn't effect your tune, maybe the computer will over compensate and run slightly rich while there is a blockage in the system... They will not do a full emissions test unless it is stated on your notice, it comes with the 3rd excessive noise complaint on the car you know you have one of these because you are required to go to Macloud out near Greensborough for the tailpipe test... I know from personal experience... 3 on an AE92 4AGE Corolla and 2 on my old Senator... the guy there knows my face and is even nice to me... Place a blockage in between where the cat gasket is though no bigger than the cat gasket but is able to be bolted in with the bolts that hold your exhaust together at the flange (know what I mean?)... making sure it doesn't from the outside look like you have added anything in there..., chicken wire or perferated steel of some kind with a small amount of steel wool wired to it, this will get your car down to an acceptable level and hey presto, your under the limit... if you aren't confident doing it yourself, I had an exhaust place make up the 'blockage' for me and fit it as well... Don't stress too much if you fail you can take the test again, the only pain the as$ is that you have to pay $27.50 for the first and each test after that... can get expensive if you have to keep going back... and the time off work and all of that too... Good Luck Edit- The test is taken at 75% (should be 4375rpm in an XR6T) of maximum factory rev limit (5900rpm)... so don't tell them that Simon has raised yours to 6500rpm... Jack
  20. Nice... his and her's bonnets... Jack
  21. How could you use these and keep a straight face... Trannyism at it's worst... Jack
  22. Ah... that's right... Silly me, it's not here, it's somewhere else... (opposition) anyway, it happened just as I started the burnout on the water, then bang, broken car. Be careful when you do the burnout... but other than that you should be all good! Jack
  23. Very nice indeed... the 20's fill out the guards on the XR's beautifully!! to the 20" club... Jack
