  1. Re-paint it the same way it is... It needs the break up of the colour... believe me it will look odd all one colour... like it's missing something... Jack
  2. In Victoria my plates XR6T8U cost $495.00 and no further payments required at rego time other the standard charge which is nearing $600 a year... You guys are getting ripped by your governments... That sucks! Jack
  3. Cheers Jet! That was going to be my next question... the clutch in my car seems to be fine for now, doesn't slip or anything and as I stated above I'm not a burnout person so hopefully it holds up for a little while... But you reckon the Mal Woods is the go? Cool... Thanks mate Jack
  4. Sorry to hear about your car park incident, nothing worse than coming back to a damaged car in a parking lot... it's so pi*s weak to hit a car and drive off... I can't photoshop what it will look like but I can tell you confidently that it's gonna look HOT!! Out of bad luck comes good... Nice one Jack
  5. Cool... Reading these replies makes me want it NOW!! LOL Can't wait... Jack
  6. Redone seats in leather will cost you about 2500... Premium sound I'd go through ASL logistics they are located in Braeside, VIC if you are interested... They can be located here... Premium sound, colour screen, 6 stack CD, DVD option... Jack
  7. I'm keen for an XR6T cruise... What a sight that would be out on the street! Register your interest here... I suppose Jack

    The Darwin Awards

Darwin's award are always funny... Sad too, but funny... how could you be so stupid... Jack
  9. Cheers... Ok... late 2004... so it's not in the last 6 months that you have done 3 clutches... it's only the last 12... I don't wanna trash my car... but secretly I think I want to Jack
  10. No I am not kidding, but I'm comparing apples with apples... not M5 (M6) vs XR6T... and I'm not talking about phoon's either... try and find me one 6 months ago for 35K... For the money (35K) find me something that's as interesting to drive and Australian made... not interested in Euro's. Remember the XR has driveline lash and it's own quality problems too... I know a couple of people who own Monaro's and are a huge wrap for them... I've driven their car's and am a wrap for them too... Oil use issues aside, they have been rectified under warranty anyway... Jack
  11. So I have been saving for it... but I am still going to have to keep on saving for it aswell even after it's done... How long have you had your car for with the edit? My best mate has a VU SS ute with F1 performance edit, full exhaust (4 hotdogs no mufflers... LOUD and K&N cold air intake making 244rwkw and his car is heaps faster than my car now... before his edit we were door to door at any speed, be it standing start or roll on in any gear... Will I be able to beat him now? Please Please let my car be faster!! There are bragging rights at stake here people!!! Until he get 3.9's... and then I'll need injectors and valve springs... and a gearbox upgrade I'm not a mad bit*h on my car, not a burnout person... don't wanna break it... What does WOT mean? Sorry if it's obvious... Jack
  12. Hey guys! I'm getting an edit done on my T in a couple of weeks (yes Rob aka Mr Turbo...finally!!! The Prom cruise was a major factor...) and was just seeing how happy you guys are with the edit and what it's like to drive day in day out... Nizpro will be doing my edit and I CAN'T wait... I'm taking the day off work when it gets done so I can fully enjoy my newly edited car I have a manual too, so does the manual drive any different? Will I wreck my clutch in the short term? Is it going to be a tyre fryer? Remember I have 20" tyres to think of... am I going to go broke buying tyres in the short term? Looking forward to the replies... Jack
  13. Expensive Daewoo vs Ford aside... The Monaro in it's current incarnation is a good quality car with plenty of go in a great package... When I was shopping for my T I was also looking for a Monaro to replace my Senator, pity they were another 5k over the price of T as I probably would've bought one... Good Luck to them auctioning it and making heaps of money for charity!! Jack
  14. I'm a steering wheel attendant for TNT Express in Hallam, Victoria. Love driving so I do it for a living Jack

I was just down at Nizpro and the car was there... looks like a complete stocker... I had no idea it was running those kind of power levels... AMAZING!! Jack
  19. I'm just back from dropping my car off at the dealers and the loan car they gave me is a Mk2 XT... It's an auto too, I've never driven an auto falcon and they alright don't they... Not bad... Jack

    T56 Mods,

I know it's not a Phoon or a T but I have driven an LS1 with a Ripshifter and the standard shift vs the Ripshift don't even compare.... It is so much more positive and a far better feel... whether that transfers the same to the T56 in the Phoon or the T I'm not sure but I imagine the results would be very similar... Jack
  22. I think you are referring to 'tramlining' where your car under braking pulls to either side... you will probably find that it does it also when your not braking... This is because of low profile tyres on wide wheels and ruts in the road made by heavy traffic loads or old roads... You stated above that it doesn't do it on smooth roads and I imagine that these roads as well don't a noticable camber to them either... Not really something to worry about, just more of a pain in the ass... The blame rests with your state government for not providing roads of a high enough quality... Jack
  23. I had my T in for some warranty work in November, and I'd just bought my 20" wheels only a week before, anyway I KNEW there wasn't a mark on them, well needless to say when I went to pick up my car the following day the passengers side rear wheel had been gutter scraped the ENTIRE way around... Went inside and complained and the service manager came out to have a look and said point blank, we didn't do that. I asked him if was inferring that I was a liar... he said no, so I reiterated my point and well after 15 mins of me accusing them of damaging my week old wheels and him saying they didn't he gave in, but still wouldn't accept responsibility (???) for the damage though they are now going to fix the wheel for me free of charge... the car goes in tomorrow and they reckon they will need it for 3 days and I get the use of loan car, free of charge also for those 3 days... I'm an extremely honest person and expect exactly the same in return and basically being called a liar to my face didn't sit too well with me... not good enough. Jack
  24. I certainly enjoy a beer... I have a mate come over on Tuesday nights and we usually drink a 6 pack between us (3 each over 3-4 hours), and then I'll have a beer after work on Friday night and then yeah Saturday evening hanging out with mates we'll get a carton of something but usually between 3 or 4 of us... so have 6 or 8 on a Saturday afternoon/night... If it's a particularly hot day and I've worked 12-13 hours again I'll grab a cold beer from BWS for the drive home... Jack
  25. You will love it!! Just make sure you get some big black wheels for your bright yellow paint... it will really set it off!! Enjoy! Jack
