who cares if it's a repost... That is unbelievable... insane, mental, stupid, brilliant, amazing and every other verb you can think of... 1760Nm... WTF... I reckon Tiff Needel (from 5th gear) is a legend and owns a McLaren F1, imagine going around him on your way to 300kp/h+... nice. Anyone can talk it up but have you got torque? Jack

Um... I'd hate to see what your car does with 'stockies' on it... the 275's are in trouble as it is... quite a show I should imagine... especially with a 3k stall... only god could help stockies on your car... and even he wouldn't help them as the show would be well worth watching... Jack

I've been back for left hand rear drive shaft, one headlight (globe), one driving light (globe) and a radiator... all covered under factory warranty... I've had the car for 6 months... I got it at 37k's and it has now done 47k's... Previous owner only had brake shudder under warranty as per Ford's database... No where near your 'record'... are you now done with Fords or would you be prepared to buy another one? Interested as your experience would turn me off... Jack

That is an awesome result for you Deaks... It's now under 3 weeks till I get my edit from Nizpro... it can't come quick enough, I've even taken the day off work (a Friday!! 3 day weekend anyone?) and I asked if I was able to stay and watch them do it and they certainly encouraged it!! Getting excited now just typing this... Jack

Thanks again boys for the help and kind words, she is contacting her union on Tuesday so we know some more then... Even though the award may have changed over the term of her employment I don't believe it to be retrospective as her original employment conditions from when she started there still apply... And another question... Mum and 2 other woman went to a conference in Adelaide last Monday and Tuesday, instead of being flown to Adelaide her work asked them drive instead in a company supplied vehicle on the promise that they would be 'paid' time in lieu for their journey there and back, they have now reneged (sp?) on that deal as well... so they drove to Adelaide early Sunday morning taking it in turns driving, arrived, went to the conference and then spent Wednesday driving back to Melbourne basically on their own time... surely this isn't right either... if you are in a company supplied vehicle you are considered to be in their employment and should be paid accordingly... does this sound right? Cheers Jack

Cheers exahsix, sutty and Lumpy (you lefty proletarian!!)... That's what I reckon too... I am SO disappointed for my Mum, she doesn't want to 'lose' her job, the reason why they are even offering a package is because she is now too 'expensive' to employ anymore... read $27.55 an hour, I have mates on union building sites making that on their first year out of their time, let alone a person who has over 30 years (nearly 40 years in total) of experiece and work history with violent parteners/parents at risk/children at risk/all of the things that no one wants to think about but what goes on everyday in our lives it's just we don't see it, she has worked in and ran woman's refuge's (the first place a woman goes when escaping an abusive husband), she is a woman that deserve's and gets respect in her industry and her work goes and treat's my Mum like this, that is what my Mum deals with everyday, and the word around the traps at her work is that they WILL attempt to re-hire her at a lower rate after the redundancy (WTF, they want her but they don't... go figure)... She has been a union member since day dot, and I tell you now that those membership fee's better have gone somewhere... or else I may as well vote liberal (what on earth are we fighting for workers rights for if that is the case?), and I DON'T want to do that... you know that already Lumpy I am so shattered for my Mum, seeing her tonight in tears mate I tell you it rips me to bits... I am so fu*king angry... Jack

Hey guys... My Mum is facing a redundancy package at the minute, she hasn't spoken to the union yet (ANF, Australian Nurses Federation). Today she has been offered a 'package' that basically entitles her (according to them) 12 weeks pay ($10,000) for 26 YEARS of service... to me that doesn't sound right... I think her work is trying to SCREW her, not good enough, my poor Mum (she is the most amazing woman in the world) came home tonight in tears, difficult enough as you can imagine but then she shows me the 'offer' her work has made re the redundancy... I'm SO FU*KING angry at the offer they have made her... we (my father, mother and I) were hoping for something in the region of 100K as a package including her Long Service Leave, Time in Lieu, Holiday's and loading but expecting about 50k... this is such a kick in the guts... the 'package' they have offered is 26K after tax, so basically $1000 for each year of service including ALL of her entitlements (3 months Long Service Leave, which is worth twice the redundancy they have offered)... doesn't redundancy compensate a person X weeks for X years of service? If this is the case then her work has got it ALL WRONG. Have you guys had any experience with redundancy personally? Please share them here, as I WILL NOT stand to see my Mum come home in tears from work again, or else I'm gonna start wrecking stuff... and I am not in any way a violent or irrational person, quite the contrary in fact, but don't fu*k with my family... FU*K YOU JOHN HOWARD AND YOUR IR 'REFORMS'... it is going to SCREW MY FAMILY... how would you like it? I bet if I took your golden parachute of super away from you, your son would be posting here just like I am on behalf of you... she deserves alot better than this... surely. Cheers for your help... Jack

Congrats to you Adam... It was for sale for a while... I paid more for mine than 30k only 6 months ago and mine is a complete stocker and 5 speed to boot... hope you enjoy your new Senator, my last car was a Senator and was a good car... plenty of poke! What year is your new Senator? How many K's? Is it a manual? Is it an LS1? Hope you have plans for that one too Jack

If you're doing that then don't forget to take some video... of course for scientific purpose's only... but don't forget the vids... Jack

Cheers boys!! seventytwo, that kind of guide was exactly what I was looking for! Brilliant mate... thanks. Mattson I think you are an airline ticket away so I'd have to add that to the 1 hourly fee, but that was what I was looking for... Mr Turbo... no money coming your way from me!! I have a 6 MP camera point and shoot, no tripod though... so maybe I'll have to look in to that... Really appreciate it boys, when I get some time I'll put it in to practice, and I'll let you know/see how I go... Thanks again! Jack
-
Cheers Saleen... Will have a look... Jack

Yeah it is if you ask my mates... I'm terrible at it... Maybe need heaps more practice, and not have my car in the driveway at home... maybe somewhere else a bit nicer Any thoughts where? Any hints or tips for nice shots? Jack
-
Hey guys... Just had an idea to get some professional shots done of my car, only because it's the nicest car I've ever owned and I'm completely crap at taking photo's... and I shouldn't imagine that at any stage my car would be in a magazine... so the next best thing would be this... I think it would be nice to have some really good photo's done for me to keep and put away in a photo album for posterity Do all photographers do cars? Or should I use someone who specifically shoots cars? How much do you reckon it would cost? Cheers Jack

Looking excellent mate!! Love the dish on the back wheels! Interesting plates... following on from the Typhoon/Tornado? Cool! Jack
