I gave one of my best mates a drive tonight in my 'edit only' XR manual, and he is still talking about it now... loves the power delivery... a Typhoon is something else again... Hope you bought the ZF 6 Speed auto... well anyway on that... What colour? What options? Is it an 05 or 06? Do you have the factory 19's? F6 either way is a mad buy... an F6 for me still sits on the 'to do' list... Jack Edit... My best mate with a VU SS ute, gen 3, 3.9's and edit drools all over what my car gets on fuel... he gets JUST ON (sometimes less than) 300k's per tank... I got on my last tank 385km's (I usually get 450k's)... with 45km's to go on the DTE, and in my opinion I drove it hard for those entire 385km's... cost me $86.00 to fill up at 146.9cpl at BP... him? Cost him just on $90.00 to fill up... He drives like I do (if not harder...) for a whole tank and he gets 200-250k's per tank... that is pathetic in anyone's language... VE is going to be worse again with the advent of the 6.0L V8... I know what I wanna be in... and it doesn't have a Expensive Daewoo badge... and I was a Expensive Daewoo person... Jack

Melbourne has all of the quickest (ET, auto and manual) and fastest (MPH) cars that are still daily drivers... which according to me (maybe not others...) is the most important factor in a 'street' car... no stripped out racers... Correct me if I'm wrong... Jack (Sadly my car isn't one of these cars that I mention above...)

Don't worry mate... I said exactly the same thing when I got mine... then I got the 20's... then I got the edit... now I'm just trying to workout how I'm going to afford the next round of mods while still paying off my home loan... You WILL want more... especially after a ride in a modded one... or you hear a modded one go past you with little or no traction Jack

I must concur with what is written above... I went car shopping with a mate of mine on the weekend, he's sick of his V8 though it does 12's... and is looking for something with similar go but more show... we priced 13 year old M3's (his car is 3 years old) and similar Audi's and the like and they want twice what his car is worth (20K) and even more and ARE slower, DON'T have the same interior space as his car, ease of servicing, cheap parts, but they have the badge... you want an Audi that stops, go's and turns like his car you are looking at the A6 4.2L Quattro (60k if you can find one, and they won't be $1,000 a year to insure for a 24yo...) , and his car still stomps it in a straight line... I reckon it's all up to what you are prepared to put up with... granted some cars for some reason just won't come right... but I think on the whole they are the exceptions that prove the rule... This reminds me of something that Simon from Nizpro told me... it's about the silver territory he has vs his ute... the territory is quicker on the strip 'but the ute on the street runs rings around the territory'. I suppose it just goes to show that the street and the strip are two completely different environments when it comes to cars... Jack

My best mate has a VU SS ute and he reckons that people like his car but they take photo's of mine... so get used to people taking photo's of it We were out in the city yesterday having lunch and just a general look around and we had 4 seperate sets of people stop and take photo's of my car, never had that in my life with anything of mine and I love it!!! I was just yesterday trying to explain this to a guy from work and he just would not believe me... he just couldn't get his head around the fact that the auto's are about a second quicker (pound for pound) over the standing quarter when you start modding them... Jack
