No, the reason why it is pinging is because every car is different and should be treated differently... Getting the one size fits all tune does exactly that, but as we all know not every size fits all... Get a custom tune and you will see far better results. What fuel are you running? What other mods do you have? The reason why I ask is that a bloke over AFF is running a bigger cat, intercooler WITH piping, bigger exhaust and has had the wastegate mod done all while trying to run a generic CAPA tune... and wonders why it's overboosting... Look at it like a woman... if she was the town bike and everyone had had a ride would you try and marry her after the first date? What if she was HOT and was marriage material, would you just shag her and never call her again? Every situation is different, every town has different fuel, EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT. Jack

Only water mate... Are you scared again Tabitha? Just remember it's not your fault Jack

Nice purchase mate!! And the colour, I love the EGO colour. Don't tie yourself down to one tuner when you are still shopping around, I hear Paul at Elite does great work too, a mate of mine gets all his work done there and has been very impressed indeed... Idea's on plates... How about this... playing on the big ego theme, meaning that you are very proud of your new car and stuff... carrying on the 'ego' theme. WHO'R'YA Who are ya? It does look a bit like whore ya, but that might be a good thing as well... EGOT2C Ego T to see.. EGOT4U Ego T for you... Jack

Nice one Robit... That is a such a brilliant colour, the pics just don't do it justice. Hope you don't have the problems that you mention with this one as you did with the T... Have you got any plans for it? You'll now have to change your sig to reflect the changes!! Jack

Hey Pete... Is it idling really roughly? Like it's only running on a couple of cylinders? I had a similar problem a while ago, and it was a breather hose from the inlet manifold if my memory serves me correctly... Now I know you have the Stage 2 and stuff with the Nizpro plenum but it may still be the same thing, in my case the hose had blown off. It literally made the car completely undriveable. Hope that helps... Jack

Though I run 20" wheels, my trip computer is so wrong... I'm 'averaging' on the trip computer 14.8L per 100k's, but in reality when you divide the amount of fuel consumed (litres filled at the pump), I only ever fill it to the first click, by the KM's travelled it is in the mid 12's to low 13's... that is driving to and from work in traffic and general punting around, I do see the freeway for about 5 mins each morning/evening but nothing major. And might use the freeway once a weekend... Go figure... Jack :punchhead:

Nice work Rob... It certainly hasn't taken you long to start modding it!! Well done! Jack

I'm in next week for the rest of Stage 2 and very big brakes to match, I already have stage 1... Not sure who you should go through in QLD, but I would contact Simon at Nizpro and see what he says... Jack

Cheers mate... I'm not about to try and turn you or anyone else off online poker... if anything, if you enjoy it, go for it, I'm all about being aware of it, just beware of the issues with it, but when it all started my mate didn't have a credit card either. He had 15K in the bank towards a home loan, he was on his way. He now has 2 credit cards... he didn't mention anything until it was too late. And believe me it could of been far worse than it is for him, he never stole from his work, he never did any of that sh!I, he took it upon himself to try and get out of it... it didn't work. And that is when we found out. I now hold one of his credit cards, and another one of my mates holds the other. All pins have changed. I'm his mate, so I'll do that for him, I'll do anything for him, but I WILL NOT fund his gambling. Everyone has a weakness of some sort... this is SO obviously his. Don't let it be you. Jack

I imagine that it would be the same as the 06 BF XR6T engine... same as BA F6, The tranny is another thing... hooking up 4wd will be far more stressful than being hooked up RWD only... Jack

Nice buffy!! F*ck that cheating c)nt up... I've read this with interest as I've gone to great lengths to save water... I even have a bucket under my shower to save the 'pre' hot water so I can water my garden... Get him Buffy, and get him good. Jack

Just as a warning to all with regards to online gaming... One of my best mates just lost his apartment and his girlfriend over online poker... he played the free games for nothing first up, around 2 or 3 months, he then seemed pretty good at it and thought he'd have a real go with the real folding... Needless to say, we (his mates) only found out about it after he went downhill, QUICKLY, he now owes nearly 10k from something he thought he had control of... Now I'm not saying this will be you, but beware and be aware of what it can do... I would never have thought that my mate would be able to EVER get himself in the situation that he currently finds himself. Food for thought... Jack

Great stuff... All good ad's, but if you had the choice between a BMW, Audi, Subaru or a Bentley... which one would you choose... I think it would be Bentley every time. Showing the 'bird' to all who think otherwise!! Jack

We all look to Europe with regard to build quality and warranty awareness... I still remember delivering 12 pallets worth of freight back to BMW every single day of the week that were ALL warranty items... 3 or 4 engines a day, 5 or 6 transmissons... and more on top of that. We all look to them, how good are they, German cars are so good... no they aren't. They suffer from exactly the same issues we have with our GM's or our Ford's... the reason why we don't hear from them in this country? There isn't as many euro owners here as there is there... we are only now starting to see many Euro cars here and they too suffer from similar problems that GM and Ford do here. How do I know? The place I work for returns and delivers the replacement parts to these Euro brands. I still look back to the poor owner of a new M5 (200 and something K anyone) who went through 5 transmissions in the first 10,000k's, all failed, and at the time BMW had no idea what the cause was... they replaced them all under warranty of course... but nearly to the tune of 100k for all 5 transmissions... It's not just Ford and GM who have issues with failures, it's all car makes... the only reason we see heaps of Ford and GM is that they are the 2 biggest car makers in the world. Anyone remember the first incarnation of the Audi TT failing because they designed the car without a rear spoiler? What happened? It lost control at high speed... Anyone remember the 'moose test' with the new at the time A Class Mercedes? It flipped when pushed hard. It's not about short memories, it's about accepting the fact that what you have is faliable, it just some might fail at some stage, not everything is perfect. When they involve this much technology cars certainly aren't perfect regardless of brand or where they are made... Jack

Great result MrBean... I bet it's heaps more fun to drive now!!! Jack

What is the size of tyre they have fitted for you? I have 225/35/20 all round on my car. I haven't suffered any rim damage at all from the low profile other than 2 of my mates rubbing against gutters while trying to park it Jack

If I had a budget like that I'd be looking for an F6 personally... Better interior, far and away better brakes and better resale down the track. Jack

Custom tuned Edit, injectors and valve springs... Then hang on and see if you can wipe the smile off your face! Where are you located? Jack

How Much Per100k Do You Average In Fuel?
G6ET8U replied to chad_22's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Using Shell V Power Racing I've been averaging mid to low 12's combined cycle over a tank for the last few months... On the highway it sits in the mid 7's to mid 8's on a flat road... I get better fuel economy than a bloke at my work who has a BA non-turbo XR6. I couldn't be happier Nizpro tuned 296rwkw... Jack -
Thanks Tabitha!! I'll take that as a compliment... even if it wasn't meant as such Jack

Nice work mate! Now you'll have to get the plates to match!! Jack
