  1. Shame I would have them in a flash ← Very true, it's probably the best compromise between 3.45's which are very tall with the T56, and 4.1's which might be a bit too short... It is easily the most used ratio upgrade with the Expensive Daewoo boys who run LS1/2's... Isn't your car fast enough Jeff??? Jack
  2. Not sure why, but 3.9's aren't available for our cars. 3.45, 3.73 and 4.1's are all available... Jack
  3. 12.38 v's opps I had to bring it home on a tilt! I have the peice of paper to prove mine's faster Jack which car did you go for a ride in to convince you to go stage 1 ← Nice deek... very nice!! Jack
  4. Don't worry about deek... it's because he's old. I'll have my Nizpro Stage 2 fitted by the time this comes around... I live in Ferntree Gully, if you are anywhere near that, and want to meet me at my house then you are welcome to come with me. Nizpro Stage 1 auto... VS Nizpro Stage 2 manual? (330rwkw plus..) The choice is yours... Catch Jack
  5. The heat can have a massive effect on performance... it seriously wouldn't suprise me if that was the reason as to why it has dropped off. I know mine in the heat is a complete slug... though it still goes good, it's goes nothing like it does when the weather is on it's side... Jack
  6. And it was... the loin was like butter. I rock behind a bbq. Jack
  7. Pork loin on the bbq, with peas, corn, carrot, broccoli and cauliflower... I haven't started it yet... but should be very nice indeed!! Jack
  8. And what great mates they would be too Jimmy!! Nice... Jack
  9. The weakness in the T5 I believe is in the input shaft that runs through the gearbox, it's too thin, when you modify these cars the torque produced is what kills the T5, it basically bends the input shaft. And in the end if you keep on going with it you end up with a box full of neutrals... unable to select any gear. Jack
  10. Nice one... That to me is a good gain in an N/A, especially with stock cams. I'd be very interested in what it made with high performance cams... Cheers Jack

    Edit

Same as above... what did you get and where did it come from? Have you got any further plans for your car? And 2 years??? What took you so long Jack
  12. There is a thread on AFF about these rods. From that thread it seems as though there aren't really many XR6T owners who know about these rods... mostly used in RB30 VL Turbo's. Jack
  13. And that is pretty expensive if you don't get the gains out of it, but if you do, then the sky is the limit... As I said, I'm no expert on the N/A side of things, but you never know until someone takes the plunge... Jack
  14. As flukey has already said... not much you can do about the opportunist... sad but true. Sorry to hear they smashed your window. Farkin pricks. Jack

hi jack, although it has alot more power than before, the throttle response is incredible I also enjoy the new induction noise cheers lee ← In bold... That got me as well, simply stunning. The car when it comes on song sounds like it's going to take off. Nice!! Jack

Hey dalts... What's your early opinion of the Nizpro Stage 2 kit? After I drove one for a little while, though it was a manual, I was hooked. The throttle response and the way the car picked up was just unbelievable... Jack
  17. I have a Mal Wood Option 3 in my car (changed from T5 to T56), organic single plate clutch with new flywheel and their alloy CSC. I had a T5 in my car, but funds at the time allowed me to change it out for a T56, I did so for reliability's sake, as I knew with the power I had planned it just wouldn't last... I have a mate in QLD who has a T5 equipped XR6T ute and he is now in the middle of doing the T56 swap, he is running just over 300rwkw, and his first 3 gears in the T5 now sing like a bird. Be very careful mate with the power (torque) you are planning... the conversion to a T56 isn't a cheap one. Jack
  18. Nice one mate!! Now you'll be able to really give it the curry off the line at the drags... good luck them, I think after the stuff I'm doing next week they'll be my next mod. My poor wallet is shaking at the thought!! Jack
  19. I'll be there... with all my new mods too!! How are the CV's Rob? Jack
  20. Not my area of expertise, but have any of the N/A brigade tried a Nizpro plenum? I remember seeing a car at Nizpro at one of the dyno days that had a custom plenum on it... I think from memory it pulled around 200rwkw... it must have had cams and stuff to pull that kind of power but you never know it might be worth it... Anyone done it? I also remember seeing an old Skyline, R31, that had the factory RB30de (non-turbo) and it had one of the old school Nizpro VL Turbo RB30 plenums on it and Simon was saying it made for it's age, and the time some brilliant results... Jack
  21. Nice one Paul... Will you be doing a step by step, what works and what doesn't comparison? I think that would be very interesting!! Jack
  22. Personally from what I have seen, yes it is. A bigger dump pipe along with a larger cat will do very well... but as Paul said, injectors and stuff should always be done first, as these are the first thing to let the whole shebang down, it's not the exhaust. Jack
  23. I have an early BA MK1 XR6T, I have changed out the cat for a larger one, and my car has been tuned as high as mid 320's at the wheels... though with all the factory plumbing and the XR6T intercooler at time it was a fairly 'hard' tune... add the bigger intercooler and it's a pretty good piece of kit right from the factory. I've seen a couple of F6's tuned with Nizpro Stage 2 kits, with just dump and cat changes to around 360rwkw to 370rwkw... Jack
