Update time The Nizpro ZF is ready to be fitted! Excellent news As always with modifying cars, it isn't quite that simple though... always the way. I am being about as transperent as I can be here. The whole truth, nothing but the truth. Behind the scenes there has been some to and fro between Nizpro and Bluepower as to who is going to not only remove and refit my trans but also tune it once it's in the car. For those that are Bluepower customers directly, I have a feeling you will agree that the boys are very protective of their customers cars and their interests. I know for a fact that Chris loves my car, it is really saying something when he is very much a V8 guy through and through. He mentions it each time I'm in, I think we have made a brilliant street car, one that can be raced when I feel like it, better than that though, it is perfectly reliable. We could've easily thrown another couple of psi at the stock bottom end to make a figure over 400rwkw. It could have a far more aggressive tune in it down low so the car will 60ft better at the drags. We didn't though. Honestly, it isn't required. It would create an unreliable package. It wouldn't make it a perfectly mannered street car, that is a savage drive when pushed but still returns low 11's per 100kms and does upwards and over 700kms a week, week in, week out. It's just me who wants to keep pushing a little bit more... 11.11 isn't quite fast enough (< idiot ) So here we come to the 'issue' of Intellectual Property. IP. I'd never have thought I'd put those words in a post I suppose in the end, it comes down to my car, Darth is a very public build, on a very public forum. There is a hell of a lot to lose if it goes pear shaped. First is my investment in my car. Then Bluepower and also now in this case, Nizpro. I can completely understand Nizpro's position about IP. I can also completely understand how protective the Bluepower boys are of my car and my interests. They have been phenomenal to say the least. So here we are. When I get my next available chance, Nizpro will be removing my old ZF, fitting their new Stage 2 one and retuning the car. Not only the ZF tune, also the engine tune. It is, according to Simon at Nizpro to take complete advantage of their knowledge of their ZF technology and to tune the car accordingly. So I suppose now, Darth is becoming somewhat of a 'joint venture' between Bluepower and Nizpro. As anyone with a tuned car can attest to, you become very much aligned with your tuner of choice. Especially for me with the way the Bluepower boys but also their fellow customers have taken me in as one of their own, a cracking good bunch of lads you'll be hard pressed to find. Knowing both Simon and Dave at Nizpro, having been a customer of theirs with my last turbo Falcon, I'll also be in great hands here, no doubt. They do lead the way with the ZF technology. That is why we are, where we are I haven't yet got a time to have the ZF changed over and the tune changed. I will update again when it all happens Jack

At the risk of telling my life story again... lol Henz? 19's factory. SL/SSL a good 2 inches above tyre on the front and 1 inch on the rear. ^ This still hasn't quite settled down all the way. ^ This is the day I had it done. No settling, factory exhaust fitted. Since this it has settled considerably. I've destoyed 2 bump stops on my car so far. Fitted with Koni Red shocks. I apologise in advance for providing factual pictures of what to expect if you go lower than the pictures provided above. With a 4" exhaust it will be close to 50mm off the deck. Jack

Never have I said that you don't have a tough car bud, re read the posts. Of course 144mph is fast. The OP asked about 400rwkw, not 600. That is why is wasn't fair to use your car or any car making that much power as a particular reason to do something. With regard to the above, with all due respect, please don't confuse what you see as jealousy of you or your car, when it's actually due pride in my own car. This is the reason why I asked on the first page for you or for et rocket to post specifically about your cars. Glad to hear you getting some good use out of it. Jack

Quote all of your posts in this thread that pertain to a car YOU OWN, that you pay for, that you drive, that you modded, that has ANYTHING to do with the OP's original question. Then quote all of mine, unedited. There will be no need to edit out any of mine. Your posts won't get much of a show... We'll see who is helping and who is randomly throwing stones in a glass house. Stop continuing to dig a hole for yourself that you cannot fill. Jack

Be careful in here djqc... you're letting the truth get in the way of a good story. Another G6ET modded to 400rwkw+, user posted too, not a friends car. Hmmm... seems to be a pattern here. Jack

At least my life (car) is about exactly the same thing he asked about. Same car, same aspirations. G6E Turbo going for 400rwkw. A 400rwkw Falcon is a 10 sec capable car. Hard to argue against that... as you have seen. Especially when all I offer is quality, personally discovered advice. OP just go to my thread, disregard all the blokes who are telling you what their mates did to their drag cars... I've done it, to my street car. It gets used daily. I've been there too. I've run the time. I've spent the money. Feel free to ask me anything mate. Via PM or in my thread and I'll answer honestly. Jack
-
It was like 3 from the top mate... Thread miner. Jack G'day back by the way it seems SA and VIC are the only states not experiencing inclement weather.
-
Arguing semantics now mate. Half my age would make you 17. So you are talking about your brothers car now? As you wouldn't be allowed to drive on the street by yourself at 17. Read my thread, I'm honest about the whole deal. Reality. Something that exists in the real world. What my fuel consumption is like, what my on going costs are, what my car actually drives like for the 99.9% of the time it isn't at the strip. What tyres I've actually tried. What worked, what didn't. For the record I could afford a second car. Don't want one. I have the car I want. I don't need to HIDE it from daily driver duties. It works on commercial building sites everyday. Covered in dust, full of tools. Me covered in mud when I go home. You would struggle to get a better sorted, 11 flat street car going around, used as it is. Driven 120kms a day, to and from work. Not 1 breakdown, not even a little one. Jack
-
Why? You can't come back with something else your mates have done that you can then quote on the internet and then claim as your own? lol... sorry it's lawl... Jack
-
Can't he's off tinkering with it... running 144mph. While I went to Rye today to play golf in my car. 400kms return, 10.4L per 100kms average for the trip. Played golf and came home. 4 up with 4 sets of clubs in the car. Quote me drag times and I'll quote you drag times too. Jack
-
Come on Henz. Jealous? You must be kidding... mate. Whether anyone passes me for 3rd fastest G6ET on here or there. Doesn't faze me in the slightest. What I would love if Johnny or even G6E Rocket posted in here. Remember you are quoting a car you don't even own. A time you haven't run. On a car that you are only mates with. Nice. Pay the money tiges, then ante up. Run a time, in YOUR car. Don't quote times for cars you know. I can do the same, until the cows come home. Jack
-
lol... Really? It's also not Johnny's fault others on here use his car as the reason why something should be done a certain way for a street car........... 144mph won't be caught anytime soon was a quote above. I've caught and passed it everyday for the last 12 months since I modded my car and didn't miss a beat, got 11's per 100kms on my way too... no 2nd car needed. How fast is the 144mph car on street? Not having a go at the actual car or the owner at all, just that it's used as an argument as to why something should be done a certain way for a street car. Henz shouldn't his car have a manual in it to be a true street car? To the OP, you don't need a PowerGlide to go fast. Fark me. Street cars and full on drag cars in the same thread being compared as being the same. Seriously. Jack

I beat you can't wait to tune a customers car there Mick, with knock off, 2nd hand parts running E85 and trying for 10's. Like asking for a social media meltdown... Jack
-
So a 2nd car was provided to him by HPF for free then while his car sat idle for 12 months? In the same time mine has done nearly 30k at 400rwkw on the road and about 30 passes down the 1/4. Been off the road for less than 2 weeks, both planned. I've done 105k in my car and it's been off the road for less than 2 weeks in 4 years. It is these kind of considerations and costs that NO ONE ever talks about. They don't allow for them. All they see is that you need a GT42 to run an easy 10 at 144mph. It's not money. It's planning ahead. Using the right gear the first time. No corners cut. Jack

Let alone the lost time without my car, the hire cars I needed to have to be without my car and then my work being without me for a day here and there as I couldn't get to work... Jack

Minimum 1k for a built tailshaft. 2k if you break it on the car yeah? It damages the exhaust and the floor pan of the car. It's stuff like that, that need to be made far more clear on forums. It sounds easy. The forums are a place where people only talk about the good things. I broke 3 CV's on my previous BA XR6T. Nizpro at the time charged me 1k a time to change them over. 3k. Halfway to 10 apprently. Good post Dave! Jack

Henz it depends on how you want to do it. E85 is a huge consideration now. I have zero access to it. So I quote prices for starters and then parts like others don't have open access to it either. To say it's cost him 7k is true. Up keep... no one talks about up keep. It will halve your service time. Depending on how the car is driven then maybe that might be even less than half. Henz I have a Nizpro Stage 2 trans ready for my car. They cost more than G6E Rockets mods. This is where I warn people who are chasing big power, keeping them as daily drivers etc need to understand. Be careful what you wish for. I am providing not the best case scenario. You can run a 10 on 5k. No worries. You will smash your car to bits trying to do it. Trying to get it to do it as an on going concern is completely different. A good quote I read somwhere recently is... there is always money to do things right the 2nd time. I speak not from forum posts, but from my own experience. What it has cost me. How fast I have gone for the money I earned to then go as fast as I have. I don't know if Rapid ever ran a 10. The HPF car did, with 12 months sitting in a workshop with endless problems along the way with a GT42. The other car is G6EPSI and he has run a late 10. We hear very little from here. Similar mods to mine, external wastegate though. I appreciate that everyone wants to go as fast as they can for as cheaply as they can but in the end a 10 sec car, requires a 10 sec cars worth of up keep. To quote that a car has run a 10 but cannot do 700kms a week because it sits broken all time I think needs to be noted as well. My car does a minimum of 700kms a week. I have built for this purpose. If you really want 400 at the wheels, you are really going to need to plan for it. I'm close and it makes for a savage daily driver. That much power will destroy ALL of the factory driveline parts on the car. First and foremost is the ZF trans, then it's diff, you shoud be after a Harrop at that level anyway. Next comes all your bushes in the rear. 400 will destroy the stock bushes in your car within 10k. If they are already stuffed... then you will start risking CV's and driveshafts at the same time. At 11.11 my car is the 3rd fastest G6ET in the country. Be careful what you wish for. Don't take this the wrong way, but don't let your aspirations get in front of your budget. You will need to then service your car every 5k after that, need to be changing ZF fluid every 20k from there. The walbro your mate is going to sell you is a waste of time. You will need a surge and 044 arrangement. Jack
-
He's right! Thanks Steve. Only thing you were missing in there is the piping kit. Plaz, Process etc... add more money again. 12k on getting to 400rwkw. 18k on staying there. Everyday, on any kind of reliable level. Servicing not included. You haven't even bought tyres to suit 650hp or brakes and suspension yet. Jack

I stil have my old NT05's on my BBS wheels in my spare bedroom (garage) in my apartment... I would love to still have them on the car. Couldn't get a 'run' on the street with anything, ever with Semi's on the back... put the stock wheels back on and everyone wants to have a crack haha. As yours would be... it's a handful on the street in stock tyre width regardless of how expensive the tyres are. Jack

Didn't even mention the tailshaft there either mate. Do the tailshaft. Needs to be done. Put grippy tyres on the car, you will break the car on the street with a decent stall on a stock tailshaft. Stock is a 2 piece, a short piece and a longer piece. If you want to do it cheaply, do only the rear section. I've had both upgraded. It's a $1000 tailshaft with both sections done. It will do minimum $2000 damage if it breaks. Could also cut your floor pan to pieces... let alone destroying part of your exhaust. Jack
