Whats happening with the ute nowadays or you doing the patrol?

The supercharger can become a restriction if the turbo's can push more air. You see it on the Yank ford GT aftermarket kits,hennessy & underground racing,they leave the factory supercharger on but pull the guts out of it.

Yeah he is on to one at the moment,he said he'll get it for 12k through his contacts

It's not mine,he bought the engine a while back when they were cheapish,he is waiting on a cheap LS7 to build his off road buggy.

Nah,not gonna cage it,would like to put the combo into something lighter though one day.

Had a few dramas with boost & spark tonight unfortunately,ended up running 10psi instead of the planned 15psi,got booted after running 10.983@132.43mph,60 foot was a lazy 1.942,did 7.263@105.17 to the 1/8mile. Drove to & from the track.

Provided the weather is good,I'm heading out for my maiden voyage in the barge since her power up,previous best with the old setup (stock 5.7L with Gen-TT) was 11.9@119 with 327rwkw on 255 et radials,this time is 524rwkw (6L with GT35R's) on 26x8.5 mt slicks.

After getting the correct torque spec,I have eliminated the wheel bearing/hub assembly,but there is still some very slight vibration,I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to sort it out.

Well it turns out it was the wheel bearing. Got the new bearing in,but there is still a small amount of play in the hub,so unfortunately I will have to get a new hub assembly. Does anyone have any recommendations who to buy through? So far got price from ford & FTG auto salvage,best is FTG for $550 with new bearing.

Well I was wrong,on further inspection,it's not the bushes,the front left wheel bearing has collapsed,haven't had a chance to pull it apart to check the total damage,ie hub etc. Has anyone heard of this happening to a territory? I'm away from the vehice & had the mrs take it to the local ford dealer. After reading through all this http://www.carbuddy....spx?t=2&tid=667 it sounds more like the ball joint has failed. I'm just glad she wasn't injured or anyone else as the wheel is just about to fall off!

Start simple & have the wheels balanced again.

Yeah the box is a Craigs automatics TH400 1500hp rated deal,3300rpm dominator converter,Griner billet pro tree valve body,transbrake,strange billet yoke,custom fat 2piece tailshaft with big centre bearing etc. Just raised stock front springs & struts,rear is the IRS set up out of the Castle Hill Exhaust VT drag car,it went 8.98,biggest let down will be the 26x8.5 slicks. They went to tune it on roo16,but it wheelspun,still put out 549rwkw on 17psi,but the injectors were out of flow. Might look at ID1000's & an E85 tune later on. I'm keen to mod the turbo territory as well though.

Speaking of Kents ute,here is an old pic I dug up. Forgive the stripes,it was early 2005 & the stockies? well,it was tail happy & 16's were cheaper than 17's then

I haven't got around to racing it yet. I raced with the old setup,a Gen-TT kit on the stock motor,it made 327rwkw & ran a 11.91@119.68mph with a 1.99sec 60footer on 255 et street slicks back in sept 2007,then the motor broke the cam gear off the front of the cam & bent a heap of valves.Fastest stato is 10.7 so would like to beat that. I was the original owner of Kents 1000rwhp ute,though when I had it back in 2004/05 it only had an APS phase 2 kit & unichip poo,it made 268rwkw.It sure has come along way.I don't mind ford or holden,all depends on the car,my first turbo car was a VL turbo at 17,it had 160rwkw,that was way back in 2002!
