Boostin'

Well I havent got one yet, but im not too far off it. But this is why I am interested in one: I grew up on a staple diet of Holdens and bought my first car a VL. I owned 2 VLs and loved the sound and feel of a boosted 6. I then got sick of the domestic market and how they just would not go with technology I.e. Run a car without pushrods and decided to go with something completely different. Rotaries. I owned 2 FC RX7s 1 of which I still have and am restoring. My first RX7 a series 4 ran 11.8 and was a good fun bit of gear. But the reason I have been transferred to being interested in all things a Falcon lol, is because it is a very good car. It has the looks to match the performance and such a large potential. Also for mine there is nothing better than the sound of a Turbo 6. I will be doing a good deal of commuting very shortly and the Falcon fits into the equation perfectly. It is a very quick but yet comfortable car that gets respectable economy and from the one I have driven is a pleasure to drive. Such a great all round package.

You guys quoting 0-100 times are ripping yourself off, because basically a RWD that can get to 100 in the same time as a AWD is going to murder it from then on. I have a lot of mates with S15s and they love to take it up to the WRXs, basically by mid way through 3rd gear they have caught up to the AWD launch and from then on murder them. I think the fact that we are even debating what is quicker to 100 kays shows that the Falcon is a much much quicker car.

Yep, looks like a cop car to me, still im biding my time waiting til I can squeeze the accounts to allow for one at about 21. Hopefully for me, they can be bought for about 21 in a years time. Looks like I would have to go to Vic though, stupid NSW Auto rules.
