Hay guys Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I have had my fg turbo auto for a couple months now car has 28.000km, love it to bits. Although over the last week or 2 had started to become less responsive and doesn't have the get up and go it did when I purchased it, the car is stock as a rock, so I thought I would use my "Scangauge2". That I had in prevoius cars. To have a look at boost and vac among other things, from what I have searched and read it is running low boost and even low vacuum at idle. I see 10psi of vac at idle(once warm starts at like 2/4). And max boost of 6.5psi and that at WOT ,giving it hell.. Also coolant temps gettin to 100+, so thinking to enough boost=high coolant temps?? Have checked all hoses and vac lines all good, replaced all clamps, cleaned boost solenoid,inlet manni. Returqued all manifold bolts( exh and inlet) .. This is my first petrol turbo,previously had T/D'S.... So I'm just curios as to what it might/could be, my local ford has NFI, I just want some ideas to throw at them or its a few hours drive to have it dynoed...
