  1. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151030724655 Just found this on eBay so could be a goer... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Oh ok, what do you think flows better/ volume between the 3.5 cat back or the twin 2.5? Also I've heard the mild has a nicer sound? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi guys I'm after the final piece of the puzzle before I can get my first tune- the exhaust. I decided on a mild 4" turbo back xforce for my fg ute but now can't find anywhere to buy one for the right price. So firstly can anyone point me in the right direction to someone I can talk to about pricing/ buying this system. (Already got a price from xforce on here but it was $500 more than best mufflers price, however best mufflers don't have this system on their site anymore) Secondly are there any other systems around the $1600 mark that people have had great success with? I know your gonna hate me but I'm young and I like them loud! Thanks for any advice in advance, beau Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Mine does it too, was a bit worried about it until now, is real loud when cars cold sometimes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ahh I see haha, yeh the generic tunes aren't even an option for me, from what I've heard I'll be steering well clear of them. Just need to save some more coin for a proper tune. Thanks for the advise Beau Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was just intrigued as to how/ why intune got themselves such a bad name on here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I would love to go Pitlane however unfortunately they are a solid 10hr drive from where I am in Sydney hence why I am also considering autotech Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Can someone please explain to me why intune have such a bad reputation? I'm a new T owner and am learning heaps off the forum and keep hearing that ppl should stay away from them, I'd love to know the reasons behind this? I bought id1000's from them yesterday over the phone before I read all this and now I'm worried they won't be genuine! Haha. For tuning my car (in the near future), from what I've read on here over the last year I'm considering either Pitlane or autotech. Thanks beau. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Intune Motorsport have id1000 on sale ATM, $780 delivered. I just bought a set today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Mates and I have wrapped my xr6t roof and bonnet trim, my mates f6 bonnet, my bosses whole gmc, and my mates whole luxy. Note it's a lot easier to wrap with a color that's similar to the original color of the car as any short cut won't be as obvious. End result of all was really good, would recommend anyone give it a go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks mate. Thanks for the tip. Yeh I know the stock stick is mounted in rubber but having the solid mount feels so much better, if I get sick of the noise I'll try your idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi mate, thanks. Well everybody's different but for me I hated the side badges, I thought they just looked like they were hovering in the middle of nowhere and without them it shows the lines off better. And the tailgate badge I removed cause I like the clean look and to keep all the fools guessing haha. My whole suspension set up made a massive massive difference, they feel like a boat stock and with the right set up you can improve the handling dramatically. The front coils are a lot firmer than stock and you do notice it on the road but I love it, I like my cars to feel real tight, the ride doesn't bother me as long as it handles like a go kart! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So bit of an update. Done afew little bits and pieces. Firstly put in my ripshifter, here's a little photo instruction sequence incase anyone is installing one. This is where I got too. Until I went to put the stock gear stick back on and realized the holes that are in the ripshifter are threaded so the bolts that are attached to the gear stick wouldn't fit. Quick fix- ended up pulling apart the stock shifter and bolting the rod upside down onto the shifter so I could at least drive To solve the problem I ended up ordering a hurst 5" short gearstick to solid mount to the shifter and a TWM A6 leopard gear knob from the states. So I installed them as soon as they arrived. As you can see the stick is very short, the gear knob allows me to set it to whatever height I want, so I set it near the top so it wasn't down below the console but still gave me a super short throw. The solid mounted ripshifter made an insane difference, you can actually feel the gearbox now with zero movement or sloppiness. The only downside it that it transfers quite a lot of noise through from the gearbox and transmission which I don't care about but I can see how some people would. Also shifts so much faster, chirps 2,3&4 Secondly removed the tailgate badges and the side badges. Was super easy, just used a length of 20lb braid fishing line and slid it behind the badges. They basically fell of and then just rubbed whatever glue remained off with my finger. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/05/hamyhe6a.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/05/hu4y7ana.jpg Thirdly wrapped roof and bonnet trim. Didn't get any pics of wrapping purely because I was stressing out so hard the whole time didn't even think of it. Wrapping the roof was one of the harder things I've done, just trying to get over and right around the antenna was a nightmare. But got there in the end and I'm happy with the result. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/05/dysy8yre.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/05/ujybave7.jpg Next purchase is intercooler so that will be up soon! 14. What cooler is that you replaced the plaz with? Pw2? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Bellato it's a shame those rapids are so hard to fit cause they are one mean looking cooler. Is that orange wrap? I do a bit of wrapping on mates cars. We're only used matte black though, orange looks mad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thought it would be sweet to have a thread where people can post pics of their coolers so others can see how they look, different finishes/ sizes/ brands ect. To help everyone out Name brand, stage/model, finish and how it fit. Let's try and not turn it into a bar & plate vs tube & fun war lol. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Pw2 cooler also requires a bit if trimming.. Does this put it in exactly the same boat as the pw3? Ie. is a cut a cut no matter how big? Therefore there is no benefit to go with the pw2 or is the pw2 ok to get through rwc if need be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Was it a pain/expensive to get engineered? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It all gets real hard real quick doesn't it! Haha. Let's be honest probs won't bother. Is there a tuner preference between the two or does it not matter to them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks a lot guys, looks like its Pw for me! Good point ratter, if need be I can always get it engineered. Well my goal is around 450 eventually but as vevapower said I want to try and avoid needing to upgrade if the future, might as well save that little but extra now and not have to worry. Again thanks for the advice, has been doing my head in for past week haha. Have any of you guys who use your car as a daily had issues with insurance? I'm not toooo worried at this point but would be good to know if there were major issues. Thanks beau Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Hi guys, got a couple of questions and to save making new thread thought id ask in here. I'm ready to buy an intercooler for my fg xr6t and am tossing up between the Pw stage 3 and plasmaman 1000hp. This thread didn't really help my decision lol! I'm already running Pw intake and batt relo and will probs run Pw fuel system when I get there. My questions are. 1: has anyone had trouble with insurance or rwc with Pw 3 due to the cutting? (from what I've read and the dimensions the plaz doesn't need as much) 2: this car is also my daily so is there an advantage of one over the other for daily driving? 3: can the stock cooler be put back in with either of these two or do you need to cut supports off? Thanks beau Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Btw my engine is stock apart from 4" intake and my mates is highly modded. So no pattern here either Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I've had one experience with my car when I was slowly rolling up to a red in with clutch in in 2nd, then light went green and changed to 1st and gave it a little throttle to match up, about a second after I let the clutch out car went into a limp mode. Wouldn't rev over about 1000-1500, check engine sign came up and started running super lumpy and rough. So I pulled over tuned it off, started again and problem was all gone. I've heard this happening to afew other people and their always worried that something needs replacing in there car. The thing is it happened to me in a brand new 2014 mk2 xr6t with 350kms on it. My mate (who I was driving with at the time) has a 2011 f6 with 30000kms on it and it's happened to him a couple of times as well. I'm not too worried about it, but just thought id let people know it's happened to me in a brand new car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My T and mates F6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Yeh I was looking at them as well, it was out of the malwood and the rip. Everyone was raving about the rip so I'm surprised I didn't hear of this happening before. Anyway, I got it sorted now. Ended up changing the stock knob and ordered a 5" hurst short stick. And a TWM A6 leopard gear knob. So should be good now! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
