Has anyone had their turbo ported, flapper and actuator mod done by CMS? If so are you happy with the results? I'm trying to decide weather to get it done by them or get it done by Garrett which is more of a stuff around. So if people are happy with CMS porting jobs is prefer to just get the to do it. Would be awesome if some people could upload some sound clips or vids of their different set ups spooling and dosing. Would love to hear afew different turbos! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I remember hearing that term as well haha, that's what confused me when everyone said its super quiet now, I thought it must have been a different turbo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can you upgrade the actuator of a stock turbo without doing porting and flapper or does that cause problems? I want to get my tune done but am trying to avoid doing porting mod as I want to upgrade my turbo and fuel system at the end of the year/ early next year, so would prefer to put the money for the mod towards a new turbo. But as ratter said I want to do it properly cause I don't know how long it will take me to save up for the fuel system and turbo upgrades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So do you find them creaky? Or was the suspension already creaky to begin with? But if it's fixed your tramp then can't really complain! Did you cop it badly? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I read through this not too long ago but there's not many reviews of them especially on the lowered utes. There is also a new bracket option now for the lowered utes which I think stops you having to cut the bump stops?? But not sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is anyone running the malwood tramp rods on their utes? Specifically any lowered fg utes? Looks like a really good piece of kit and are now used on all of the V8 utes apparently. I cop a fair bit of tramp in 1st and am seriously considering getting a set in the future. Interested to see if it is actually a proper fix for the problem and how peoples http://www.malwoodauto.com.au/index.php?page=tramp_rod_kit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah not yet! Still saving coin for my tune and and decided do turbo porting and flapper now as well so hopefully in the next month or 2 will be able to get it all done. Wbu? Got yours in now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bought xforce stainless 4"dump 4"cat 3.5" catback gonna see how it sounds, may remove rear muffler and put something similar to this in its place if it's a bit gay sounding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To fix it just don't try and beat the gearbox from 1st to 2nd when going hard, give it a fraction of a second longer just to keep up and it should slip straight in. Gotta love fords... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine also does it, since 4kms mk2 ute, now has 3500kms and has ripshifter solid mounted and still does it, only when really booting it in first and rip a change at above 5k rpm. Otherwise it's fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Will the pacs be ok for my first moderate power level (320ish)?? I don't want to get anything too stiff but also want them to be able to handle more power (400ish) later down the track. Thanks beau. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The plazmaman springs are tempting at $300 What would be my best option between plaz or the atomic extreme H/D's? There are also the atomic ovates and crows but I would prefer not to spend over $400 Would PAC racing springs be to stiff for approx 300-320 rwkws? Cause that is what I'm aiming for for my first tune before I upgrade turbo. And the pacs fall in my budget as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Simon told me that the extra for the ute system is due mostly to the labour required for them to modify the sedan version to fit the ute, therefore making it basically a custom exhaust... It is a big difference though IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
