No worries man, the intake will clear stock cooler piping so there's no need to take your front bar off to install the intake, it's really tight but it does fit. I think there's a good chance you'll put your car into limp moe if you drive round with a cooler on as well and no tune. I'm just running some khumos atm, nothing to fancy for the street. 255/35 with a little stretch, I'm running -3 camber at the front so street driving just chews them up. Thinking about going a bigger profile next though with some good stretch and see how that compares, rims get a little bashed around on Sydney roads [emoji25] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When revs hit about 3k it's spins 1, 2 & 3 most of the time so tyres are copping a beating haha but wanna get into mid 400's, want 3rd to be like 2nd is now and then I'll be happy haha. Clutch doesn't like the new power though so that'll be getting changed next! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey mate., Nah I'm not missing the baby turbo in any way at all, I enjoy being able to drive round not on boost when just in traffic and stuff and then all I'm worried about in how hard that boost comes on and what gear I can snap traction haha. I drove round with turbo side intake for about 10 months on stock tune with my bov blocked as well and it was absolutely fine, the electronic boost solenoid that the fg's have (don't know about previous models) will handle the change no worries. In saying that I wouldn't drive round with a cooler on as well though, I installed my exhaust and cooler the day before I was getting it tuned and then just nursed it out to the tuner, engine light came on half way there when I got up to about 80-90kph but it was fine and expected. And yes, if I had my time again I would be getting 10's or 10.5's on the rear with a real aggressive offset haha but chose to play it safe when I bought them. Would love to put a 10.5 on the front too but not practical when your on full opposite lock on a bumpy road haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could someone please help me out to save making a new topic, my cars getting tuned on Tuesday and I was going to get my turbo ported ect. (Standard fg 3576) however my mates f6 blew oil pump gears the other night and end of story he's offered me his 3540 that has already been ported ect. My question is can I bolt his turbo onto my car over the weekend and drive it out to the tuner on Tuesday or will it make my car go full retard? Cheers and sorry for the thread hijack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That speedo needle though (was the least of me worries) ended up being a buggered instrument cluster but luckily their replacing that under warranty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sprayed it Afew times over 2 or 3 days and it's still there so cars booked into fraud for Tuesday for them to fix... Hopefully haha. Also my speedo needle jumps when I accelerate so going to get the to have a look at that too. Cheers for the help though, thought it fixed it at the start! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No I didn't spray that one Bizkets, I'll pump that with some inox tonight. Cheers Phil. If it comes down to that I might try and get ford to replace under warranty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Noise may have returned, just started my car after Afew hours and it was there, wasn't as bad though so I'll try and give it a better spay when I'm home and see if that helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just sprayed those wheels and seems to have removed the noise completely, thanks Bizkets for that, love an easy fix haha. And yeh it's touching but it fits Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks mate, I'll give that a go and see if it helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi guys, can anyone tell me what this noise is likely to be/ if it's normal or not? Car has 11k on the clock and only happens on cold start, once car warms up its goes away. A mate said it could be oil pumping through when the cars cold but just want to make sure it's nothing serious. Cheers https://vimeo.com/128418088 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I also crave a crazy sounding turbo but this pt6235 has just thrown a spanner in the works cause it's too good to pass up! If only there was an alternative with the best of both worlds! Haha but then again can't really complain with the amount of options we have for our cars

Please elaborate

I see what you mean. It doesn't fill you with excitement does it!

Had a great week, my new body kit got fitted and I finally got the car back from paint. To say I'm happy with the final product is an understatement! It now has a great road presence. Not to mention the ladies love it! This is how she stands now, all stanced out!

Thought if just write a quick update, not much has happened to the ute over the last few months but I haven't lost motivation! Haha. I've just been accumulating parts and have run out of money haha. However car should be in at CMS in the next month or 2 hopefully to get tuned. Here are some bits and pieces I have waiting in the garage! Looking forward to getting this in the car along with turbo porting, flapper and actuator mod. And hopefully make some decent power on the little stock turbo. Future plans include precision 6235, full Pw fuel system, clutch and some beefing up of the tailshaft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Removal Of Turbo In Preperation Of Porting And Valve Mod Part Ii
bjacobs replied to mrmackie's topic in Turbo Workshop
Yeh I've spoken to autotech and CMS and I think I'm going to go with CMS for my tuner for this car so from those comments I'm happy to get them to port it while it's there, easier for me as well. And az6 you make a good point as well, better to get one shop to do everything so if there's issues they know what they've done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
