  1. Forscan beats torque hands down, but the dash board on torque is a cool in car novelty.
  2. Ah okay makes sense. Well I know you have installed a fair few setups on these cars now Ratter, is there any particular setup you would use and recommend? Do you know of any reputable installers in brisbane? I was thinking of seeing if FPT could do it. Or do I need to drive to Frankston..my AU came from Frankston... Also do I need to do petrol injectors as well if I want to make around the 300rwkw mark.
  3. Well after reading this thread and owning a 5l au2 on lpg for a few weeks im getting pretty serious about gas on the g6et. Could anybody recommend someone in brisbane to do a dedicated liquid injection setup on an fg turbo? Is it even possible to do dedicated yet?
  4. What codes were logged?
  5. Well that's an interesting first post. Any more info? Other mods? Who did you get to do it? Dyno sheet? Vid of how they sound?
  6. Go to do first oil change on the au 5l since I bought it, first thing that worries me is a sump plug buried beneath silicone..uh oh. Good thing is looks like it was the plug that lost the battle with the gorilla and not the sump. After 5pm though so all on hold till the morn. Are they an m12 plug?
  7. Holding the power button toggles this feature on my fg.
  8. Was just stirring lol, of course they do. Weight is the first one that comes to mind for me, unless the car is weighed prior to a run it could never be 100% even if no other variables existed, which they do. What if I ate a sh*te load of KFC on the way. Or had weighed it on street rims and tyres but ran a diff set at the drags. Small differences but will effect accuracy none the less. Also a nice pic of willowbank I thought.
  9. Torque uses the ford specific pid, converts from kpa(maybe hpa?) to psi in the formula. Should be the same readings the pcm is getting so you would hope its accurate
  10. Scam for sure, still think you should come in with the "I need money for (insert tragic/dramatic reason)" before he gets the chance. Its just poetic... Like one of the priests from the rectory needs some kind of expensive exotic brain surgery.
  11. Farkin lol. Geez you make me laugh sometimes Steve. Your writing is quite creative and you seem to have a knack for it. You should start a blog or something man, would be an amusing read I reckon.
  12. Hmm, is there a plug hanging around in the vicinity? Coz there should be. Only on an N/A loom would it not be there. Which would suggest something funky goin on.

  14. Wow, that's a half decent ad for once.
  15. Luke warm indeed, I still fancy an xr8. As for fault free and reliability your absolutely right. Yes things like sheet metal brake rotors are a bit average. But 450rwkw+ on a stock bottom end is like...1uz stuff. Almost unheard of, and that ridiculous torque delivery and numbers v8's cant match. Oh well. These cars are going to go full vl spec once they stop making them. The cult they have created in just 10 years is amazing enough given today's economy and all the poofs driving golfs.. Edit: had to add this, you might be right about the 76 jet. So GTX76's all round then! They are on special atm ffs ford
  16. Lol dags, im honestly a bit devo the T did not get the FPV 310 and brembos. Should have sent it out like the xr8. The blown 8's are so awesome. But the T's will be legendary. Its easily the best engine manufactured in this country and has etched its name in history among some of the toughest straight sixes in the world. To me the worst part of all this for me is knowing its the end of the road for the Barra. The 5.0l will of course live on in other vehicles.
  17. Lol @ the plastic red cover over the positive battery terminal that never stays on. Classic. Omg Is that an all new coolant cap?
  18. Depends on the player they use on their website so perhaps. Support is growing, im seeing the cast button more and more on Web based players. Its also supported by various apps including some dlna ones like plex as mentioned. Which is what I use it for most. Select a video on my pc, from my phone, cast to tv. No cables and devices only need be in wifi range.
  19. I know turbulence is important on the intake but what about exhaust?
