keep digging stripey...

pretty sure the joke is matty....kpm campaigned against the use of the 044 with ethanol. Then their chosen pumps flop on their face... Jet really didnt need to look for anything to pay them out for in this case..

pretty much what im thinking fluff, the idea isnt to make dosh. infact id probably end up in a similar position equity wise. Spot on with 50k just to be able to live in it, that's virtually no changes to kitchen and bathrooms with exception to putting a cheap oven in as some greedy farker took it...left the tractor though. No way I would take the leap on a place like that without an inspection either Its really just an idea atm, not a pipe dream though its attainable. Depends how mental im feeling really. As I did say to myself some time ago "next place will be 100% done and im gonna move in and drink beer".....this is very much the opposite.. I do really want a place like this and cant see me ever borrowing a million bucks for one. The idea would be to chip away at it over time. I could do most of it cheaper than retail but need to be realistic. Still need to spend alot and have no life for quite some time...

has aircon in the rooms, just need to sort out that big open area, does face the gully so maybe not to bad with the sliding doors open to the deck in summer? Not sure, not fussed by that really everywhere in qld is sh*t hot in summer anyway...aircon or suck it pretty much does come with that sweet tractor so that alone makes it worth it....

http://www.domain.com.au/2012724159 http://www.domain.com.au/2012724159 im thinking probably 50k just to get carpet, flooring, paint, fix sh*t up so its livable. Not including clearing a bit more of the block and renovating sh*t like bathrooms etc. The photos are pretty crap, its only 4 bed 2 batch which my current place is but its the scale of this place. Rooms are hooge, everything is hooge except that pokey kitchen area. I probably have about 140k equity in my current place so realistically I would need to get it closer to 400 to have enough to pump into it to get it to an acceptable state. Does have a massive solar system already, tank water, fully fenced block, I quite loke the house from an architectural perspective. Alot of good things but im under no illusions its an easy tart up. structurally things looked ok, couple of things like rotten steps and the edge of the decks looks a bit ordinary. Also appears the skylight is leaking above the fire place. Nearly have every trade you could need in the family but I still dunno...Ive seen enough just need to really think if I want to get serious about it. Missus loves it and see's the potential so theres half the battle won.. also keif, 2602 is consistently a ghost page on tapa until a new post is made(like this one was until my post), not sure how that corresponds to the web browser page numbers but it cant be a coincidence its always the same page number

another day stripey...although its occupied by thinking about a unloved mcmansion on a 5 acre block I looked at on the weekend. Its low 400's and similar properties in the area are 800+k in better shape obviously. Problem is ive wanted a place like this for ages and cant see me selling it if I was going to put in the work. Still mulling over even calling up about it. Didn't need to book an inspection...just drove up the creepy overgrown driveway at 6:30pm and looked around the unlocked abandoned haunted house in the dark with my phone torch.....as you do I would also need to sell my current place right away which im not really ready to do....Its crazy thoughts stuff...bit spur of the moment but its more about the opportunity

head will bolt on no worries, no idea on the eco lpi but egas internals are only marginally better than N/A items. Cant see why you couldnt use forged rods with the high CR pistons, however im not sure its a great idea for reliability reasons given your intention will be to make some serious powar. Are you sure you want to commit to a high CR boosted engine in a daily? You will never be able to put 98 in it again even if desperate...

327 Rwkw 760Nm Xt One Tonne Ute (Was A V8)
barnz replied to genuine honest person's topic in 300+ Club
gone to a huge amount of effort for that trans cooler mate. It suits the overall theme of the ute though well done, hopefully it works as good as it looks. I was only throwing ideas around when I was talking about how the airflow behaves just behind the cab. Never expected you to do something like that. Looks alot more pro than roadkills solution on a mazda ute with an olds v8 mounted in the tray. Same idea to overcome the lack of flow in that spot....but they used house hold ac duct and vents lol... -

great, now all I can think of is paul walker saying "honda SPOON engines"...
-
lol....guess I should have looked at the xr6 also... cant argue with the xr being the better buy of the two
-
actually had a look now....that's a 4pot brembo front, single pot pbr rear brake setup. So not as appealing as a 6/4 combo but even so much better than the xr6's brakes. Why dont brakes matter to people lol? Your also limited to around 300rwkw on the xr6's turbo so factor in a turbo upgrade if you want anymore.
-
most of it is fairly obvious from a cosmetic perspective. Mechanicaly its different suspension, engine(stronger in f6), f6 has bigger brakes (this is probably its greatest strength over the xr6). F6 has a larger turbo, not quite as responsive as the fg xr6t's but feels stronger in the top end. Injectors are larger in the f6, slightly better intercooler in the f6 so there is a bit more scope in the stock parts for more power with the f6. In stock form the f6 is the better car in pretty much every way. Its also a fair but more expensive. Which is where the but comes in, so you willing to spend 6k on mods? what if you could spend an extra 10k on the xr6 by saving on the purchase price of an f6. Your probably going to end up with a better car. The brakes really need to be factored in though as the xr6t's are less than adequate..and 6/4 brembos are worth alot.. But it wont be a fpv, it doesnt have an fpv interior or look like an fpv...They really arent that common either. I dont see a great deal of them around now I think about it. Heaps of HSV's though. Also either car will stomp on even a lightly modified Bogan special redline even in stock form, the fg xr6t(in auto form) in particular will leave your brother wondering wtf from a set of lights, given on paper they have the same power..As you want a manual you will have to pedal it but should still pull his pants down The stronger motor, brembos all round, larger turbo and the fact its an fpv and all that comes with that makes it worth the 10k more imo
-
lol I know this waz an april fools joke. You really think I belived that a shop called kebab racing tuned it to 800kw on methanol......just wondering what the non BS story with it is
-
So....wtf is really happening/ happened to the terry since...The transfer case issue I think was the last time you posted about it.
-
I personally would go the 6235 but ive been partial to it for a while now. Seems like a good, possibly the best balance of response and top end for our cars to me. By all accounts it spools fast and has that freight train feeling at the top end
-
2601 was a ghost page on tapa until you made that post....now im not saying fix tapa so relax carnt. But it gels with what stripes was saying as you say the gost now has your post on it
-
but you were driving a car under the influence of cake?
-
bloody cake drivers, you better not have been over the limit matty. Just irresponsible to load up on sugar whilst driving...Guess roadside cake testing is gonna become a thing now.. Also the idea of you driving into the sunset in your grandpa car whilst eating cake did make me lol.
-
pretty sure its a saftey thing, it seems like if the wheel speed and or steering angle reach a certain value it decides its better to leave you with it. As most of us know lifting and stabbing the brakes at a high wheel speed and angle can spit you off the road real quick

pics of gatorade catch bottle, sounds like awesome rat rod stuff? Do you have max patina paint work as well lol?...kinda liking the idea of a ratty b series
