Heya guys.. 1st time poster..Few questions.. Whats peoples opinions on buying already modified or doing it yourself..?? Im about to purchase my first G6ET and am tossing up between a few options.. Obviously there are many variables here and id like to do it as cheaply as possible to obtain the end result with the least amount of compromise.. Daily(ish) driven, reliable with around 380-400kw as end figure.. For now im budgeting around $26-7K... 1/ Buy a cheap stocker with high Ks on it and purchase a stage 3 or so kit for about 10K to add to it... I can do a full rebuild later down the track anyways so the high Ks dont really bother me at this stage..or will it not last with the add-ons and the high Ks?? This way I know whats been done and usually the stockers arent raped like an already built car.. 2/ Buy 1 with all the mods I intend on doing to it already done and then worry about the rebuild later..? 3/ Buy a mint low Ks stocker for money between 1/ and 2/ and just add the bolt-ons without worrying about a rebuild..? As said im new to these cars and dont really know what goes wrong where and at what age, Klm level, power range etc.. I do understand they can hold a lot of power with an unopened block, so yeah what age does things usually start to deteriorate internally ? and what goes wrong ? U kids seem pretty friendly and helpful here so hopefully others actual experiences can point me in the right direction.. Cheers :D
