Joe dragging this up .. Im just about to drop some kesh on a gtw3884(6465) and was wondering if u have tested and released the internal gate version of the turbos u speak of here ?? sounds like a great bit of kit.. If u are selling them do they take a garrett rear housing and wastegate bracket etc as I already have all this as upgrading from an mta750 and can use it if so.. machining or small adjustments are ok and I can sort that out here as well as the oil drain mods.. Hope ya have something as sounds like the perfect setup im looking for between the mta 750 and mta 900 which I like but think its just a bit big for street duties.. cheers
  3. Andrew McArtney im sure his name is but wether he wants it on the list I cant speak for him sorry guys.. OH and stop adding people would ya Dan id like to be on the list longer than a bloody week :D hahaha

Mine (xcal3) does this also and I was advised by my tuner to try and load it when the car is completely cold or if u can help it cool it down as much as possible.. Hasnt let me down and loads straight up when followed this rule.. Mine has loaded when hot but like 80% of the time will hang and same as u had to return the car to stock then reload selected tune.. Im not happy about this for a near $1000 box in 2016 it seriously isnt good enough.. All round I think its a clunky piece of sh*t for what it is/does compared to lots of other comparable piggy back ecu's..
  7. I had the beige ones when I got car.. and they were terrible to keep anything near clean.. Ditched them and didnt look back at getting a black set.. ebay I think there were like $110 for exact aftermarkets.. And yeah got new clips from ford and bought extras to screw in the passenger side too..
  8. Yeah I think ill just stick with the stock converter and do the cryo'ing of inners with the Billet Input.. at least that way the inside is all done.. The $500 would be better spent on a file than restalling the stocker and when I want to change it its only a converer change and not box out and apart again..
  9. Hi guys as per topic ? Im planning on a major build on a ZF very shortly..( stage 2 clutches, seal kit, zip kit, cooler etc etc etc) Already stock-piling parts and am nearly ready for the teardown.. With many stories of Cryo'd Inputs lasting a matter of weeks im swayed on going a Billet input from CMS.. SO this leaves me with a $2k hole I hadnt planned on spending but as I know its money well spent im having to sacrifice a few things.. Was planning on Cryo'ing the input, intermediate and planetries for a few hundred and re'stalling the stock converter for now.. SO I will eventually upgrade to the CircleD unit but I want to know now if the stock item will be fine for a while and get me to where I want to be.. ??? Car is at 450-500kw on e85 so it will build a bit more boost and stall naturally a bit higher anyways but is only for a here and there track assault and want to get into the mid-low 10s so not after anything special for the time being until I do the CircleD.. So really will it handle ? as id rather spend the money it takes to re-stall it, on a tune for the ZF once its built.. Thanx in advance..
  10. fitted with the blockoff..
  11. All good guys I emailed ProFlow and they have advised me of the correct port plug to block it up for now.. its an4 7/16-20 for those wondering later.. If I change the expansion tank later I have the hose end to mate it to the tank.. sorted :D
  12. Cool that's what I was thinking too.. But which line is which ?? Plumb into front or rear line on the exchanger ?? And temps that low ?? I really didn't want the fan to work unless in a situation where it's getting too hot.. The flow underneath the car should give it enough cooling without needing to use the fan all the time yeah ?? I thought the trannys liked to work on 90deg..
  13. just measured it up and it looks like its a 1/4" orb thread.. 11mm thread OD with an o-ring.. any benefits of waiting till I get shiny expansion tank and just pluming it up then or leaving it as is and blanking it off ?? spewing on that as I just had all my fittings for another project sent from VPW today and it looks like they are only $4 and ill have to have it shipped now lol :(
  14. Some help please guys ? Just bought me one of these shiny ProFlow Thermostat Housings to rid the ugly cast bit.. So car is FG G6ET.. Now it comes with a hose fitting on it and no blanking plug to suit.. Iv seen on some of the B.series and other aftermarket jobs that they are plumbed back to the overflow with a line resting over the radiator shroud and have 2 outlets on expansion tank which would be fine. But as I only have 1 outlet on my recovery tank that's connected to the radiator I need to know what to do with this fitting ??
  15. reviving this topic for some advice if anyone can help... ? Iv decided to go a different route.. still risking the milkshake but added bonus of actually cooling both oil/trans fluid when needed.. Im going to replace the factory exchanger with an orange dot and continue to use this for the purposes of heating up etc so the zf wont freak out .. BUT also add this bloke to help cool temps of both trans fluid AND oil too at the same time.. (4 passes for the trans and 2 passes for oil) track days and a good booting on lap days will see both of these temps rise a lot and I cooked my oil last track day and lost a decent amount of oil pressure so I dont want to keep changing the oil as it broke down a fair bit.. going to plumb it in under the passenger seat and tuck it up there.. My question is : what line would be better to plumb the cooler into from the heat exchanger ? to give the most accurate reading before or after the exchanger has done its job ? the front or the rear line and which is which ?? hopefully this gets me a good cooling system when im into it .. will be set up with a Davies Craig digital thermo controller and set to about 93-95 degrees on the trans side and it will cool the oil too when the trans temp rises.. total cost about $700 all installed with new orange dot item too..
  16. Yep spot on barnz.. I dont think any solution apart from an external air to oil cooler is going to help the car under extreme load.. where I reckon its most needed.. In a perfect world and unlimited bank balance I think a PWR and external oil to air is the ducks.. Ratter did these cars u speak of who dislike shifting have a pattern ie when cold , between a certain gear etc ? and also did they have a tune in the ZF ? which from the advice iv been given is about 50% of the quality of a built box..
  17. Sweet I actually saw this shot in one of the topics I researched.. Is it fine without a fan ? Would u recommend it without it ? I was possibly going to mount it up then if the temps got out of control add the fan later.. But did I read u were using a heat exchanger too ? I wanna ditch it all together so maybe the fan for me is the go..
  18. Im just about to head down this road and after reading EVERY thread about it im still kinda confused.. IM also about to build a tuff box and the idea of an form of milkshake turns me away from the heat exchanger all together.. As skids said before there were exchangers there were many people using oil to air systems.. I had one on my last Jatco (Mazda) box and the fan ran all the time and saw the street a lot but I could never hurt it at the strip even with 30+psi transbrake launches etc.. Ran Transmax Z too which is what I run now in my ZF.. Iv decided to build a kit basically the same as the Serious Performance Kit BUT with 1/2" lines and tanks, up from the 10mm that they run, for extra flow.. It will also have a 10" fan and a Davies Craig Digital fan controller set to about 93deg.. The controller is a dual curcuit too so will also use it to run another fan for an oil cooler I intend to setup at the same time.. the controller runs the 2nd fan a few seconds after fan 1 is activated by the digitally selected temperature so will keep oil temps in check too.. I am mounting them under the passenger seat with a custom shroud to stop unwanted debree banging up on them.. I believe the trans cooler kits from CMS are mounted in the same place.. All up the cooler will be less than $500 + another $250 for the oil cooler setup so in total less than just taking care of a PWR heat exchanger which I think is overpriced too.. Another trick I read somewhere is to put the car in reverse for 10-15 seconds when cold and it heats the fluid up ever so slightly or I also reckon stalling it up for 5-10 seconds will heat the fluid when cold too... With the extra clutches from the build I dont reckon I will suffer from damage or flair from being cold BUT I will have the insurance of it keeping cool during stall ups at the drags and also powercruise lap style track days.. which is mainly what its being built for..
  19. Yeah for sure I was just using that figure as a reference that all the manufacturers use as a direct comparison for flow at 72.5psi.. And they dont bloody miss ya at EFI do they wanting $495 + postage :/ hmmmm. That chart looks a bit whakky too saying they will only support 320rwhp on decent boost on e85.. As iv already made near 2x that with an 044 I cant really use that as any evidence as what they flow.. My buddy who runs a Benz service shop swears by them and in all the 55s and 600s etc hes worked on he said he has NEVER seen 1 sh*t itself which is saying something as there are plenty of other things that they have go wrong with them lol
  20. Im only going off the marketing some of the sellers use mate.. Bugatti "style" etc im sure is more applicable.. The Veyrons also use 2 of them too so I read before.. BUT the link u provided does not have anywhere near the flow of mine going off the chart and also looks a bit different too :/ All charts I have for mine is 300lph @ 5bar and the one u provided is less than 250.. ?
  21. I installed my Pierburg oner the weekend and I must say its night and day from the 044.. Can NOT hear it whatsoever so im well impressed.. ill c how it goes when time to tune it up and see what I can get extra.. Nothing wrong with the way u went they are a good bit of kit.. But not everyone can afford them unfortunately..
  22. LOL thanx for the advice all round but ill keep this in mind hahaha Ordered the Intelligence today but waiting on the discs that are a while off anyways so will be a while b4 it all gets installed.. Thanx for the advice all round boys much appreciated..
  23. Received an email back from the Liquid bloke and he said absolutely no problem with handling what I want with it.. Am gunna give it a whirl thanx heaps for the responses and link Bulletime..
  24. The Endless looks the go BenDoCo but its gunna be a bit exxy by the time I buy 2 bottles and have it delivered.. The Liquid Intelligence looks great.. Says $80 delivered for the 1L tin so im cool with that.. Just sent him an email to check its streetability and suitability for my application.. Ill let ya know how I get on..
  25. Just about to do a Full overhaul of the brakes.. will consist of.. Shockworks Front Brake package . 355mm Discs , calipers n pads.. Shockworks Rear Discs w Territory Calipers and QFM A1RM Pads.. Braided lines front and back.. Stock master cylinder and booster.. So I have no clue about a decent fluid and nothing comes up on a search.. I want a primarily street based fluid that is ok with a few powercruise track style events that will get a flogging from time to time.. Not sure if the DOT 4, 5, 5.1 is any different to the Racing fluid offered by Penrite , Castrol etc.. or is it even worth the extra $$ to buy a racing labled fluid.. ? Hopefully someone can send me in the right direction with what will best suit my needs.. AND is it ok to flush the system with a regular brake cleaner to stop the new stuff contaminating whats in there now..?? Cheers in advance..
