Had 4 new Toyo Proxes 4 fitted about 5 weeks ( 2000 km ago ) The first trip I did was down to the Gold Coast and I couldn't help noticing the humming/droning sound , particularly on the M1 ( concrete ) stretch. The noise ( cuts in at around 40 Km/hr ) is less noticeable on the rougher surfaces, but still there. I don't believe it is diff related as there was not a hint of the noise prior to the new tyres being fitted. I've played around with pressures ( 38 through to 42 ) , with the noise getting slightly worse at the higher range. I've read that some tyres need a running in period after which noise problems abate, but how long should one wait ? I'm going to take the car back, and get them to recheck wheel balance and the alignment just in case there is an issue there. btw, are the wheel alignment values for the FG range the same as the BF ?? If it isn't tyre noise, any other thoughts? cheers Steve
