The brazing used to fix the fitting to core will be slighlty porous so you've probably washed the oil from the cap out of the pores.
If your worried its leaking I'll take it off your hands.
BA/BF fuel rails are exactly the same. Neither are stainless they are electro plated steel.
Also are you aware of the full requirements to swap a ZF6 speed into a BA?

They are discontinued. Most dealers will give you a blank look if you ask for the part as it appears to be a single spec (FPV) one or two model year part.
