  1. Biz, my turbo is also made in Japan ( i got confused on that one) but the tag is different and the sequencing number is totally different (will post a pic tonight) " 803714-5001S " is the Garret PN. The other number is ther serial/batch/sequence number. I seriously doubt garret will give you any details on when/where they where built. But it might be worth call Garret australia and giving them the sob story. Also I found when searching for mine the resellers where very quick to drop from retail (especially the more industrial business such as MTQ etc) ie one quote was $2100 and it dropped to $1400 with very little proding. Jet was able to secure one from me delivered for just shy of the figures Biz is quoting. I actually have a spare sitting in my shop but im 99% sure the owner is going to use it on a low mount setup otherwise I would offer it to you Biz.
  2. *not a chra replacement. GTX's are supplied as Supercores inc front housing.
  3. Certainly possible. A guys done it too a bf Wagon and I.believe there's an th sedan in the works. Lots of fab work but with enough skill and dollars it could be done.
  4. Looking into the turbos that have failed.
  5. Yeah these scumbag mechanics learning a trade and then using those skills to provide a service with the intent of making a living from it. Everyone should be forced to give their skills away for free. FWIW if you've been quoted $1500 drive in drive out that is extremely competitive pricing.
  6. It's all fun and games till your cranking one out to midget amputee goat scat porn and your turbo falls off and smashes your xcal
  7. who has time to sit around and watch 54gb of movies???
  8. Yeah mate it'll have the PN and Serial Number on the tag
  9. What's the serial number on your Turbo Biz? Yes quite a good idea for our cars and standard fitment on most HD truck/Off Highway Turbos that run @ 10/10th's all the time Pingtune has a questionable history with tunes but no issues with parts. Have bought parts off him myself in the past and a customer recently bought a set of ID1000's off him with zero issues.
  10. It's been mentioned several times "A genset for a resources company" but the Company name hasn't been mentioned. Would have otherwise been a nice bit of free media. I'd suggest primary genset shit the tin, replacement flown in quick quick, no names to protect share price. But it's Tuesday morning, and I'm tired so I could be totally wrong.
  11. The T04z front .07 housing is longer that the GTX3582 housing. The intake hosing will foul hard on the power steering lines/switch. Big $'s to correct properly (custom lines and tank relocation) if you don't want to put up with the 4" intake be squashed to half it's size. Something like this- I used an Xr8/Gt Tank that mounts on the Thermo Fans and had a new pressure line made up to relocate the pressure switch down onto the chassis rail. The Gt3566 was a dog with a manual box. Storming top end but nothing below 3500. Was better when fitted to a ZF car but there are much much better options out there these days.
  12. what exactly is your point? (hint most airports have more than one flight path) Also: I also live about 20kms from Pearce Airforce Base so Military traffic spotting is also abundant. C-130's and Globemasters
  13. Lots I'd say. I've seen the 224 a couple of times. It landed in the town I grew up in to deliver a large slew bearing (like 9mtrs Dia) when I was a young kid, and another time was headed to site and we had to wait for it to take off from the Perth Airport. An-225 is next level. Apparently it's coming back several more times in the next 18mths.
  14. Landed in Perth on Sunday. Delivering a large generator for a Resource Company$$$$$$
