We can put a direct $ figure our delays usually so they get taken very seriosuly. It's always hard when we need track time for maintenance and the cost in lost trains is several Mil and the pay back period isn't achievable.
-
Yup even when it's a track failure it's still a signal failure, heck where I am if the signal drops because a piece of rolling stock has shit the tin in that location it STILL a signals failure. We have some awesome "negotiation" sessions with the delay accountants week to week.

Unfortunatly not my position to do that. I've put it out there that we need to look at alternate sources of supply but have recieved very strong push back. If I was a cynical man I'd suggest somebody internal is getting a piece of the action.....and Im not talking about a cock punch to cervix.

Ordered a years worth of components for a large replacement program back in Feb. Was promised 12wks lead. aprox 5% of the order has been recieved. Have been hasling the Vendor everyday for ETA's as another company is waiting for this info to kick off the program. Get emailed late friday "please find attached ETA's".....no attachement. Reply informing them of that. Get another reply an hours later with ETA's for 10 of the 70+ orders. ETA's are arrival in Sydney. Really helpful considering the works happening in the northwest of WA. Plus we are locked into using this company as a preffered supplier till the end of this year.

2 Steps are awesome. But usually involve 3 steps on a Falcon Step One - Engage Two Step Step Two - Break a CV joint on Launch Step Three - Call a Tow Truck Ask me how I know......

I think the diff not flopping around like a cock in a sock will go along way to preserving the stock shafts. -
Lol....you should see my network switch cabling in my workshop. Cable mismanagement at its finest.

Thanks Phil, I do but work has been kicking my ass of late so free time has been limited. I don't spose you've also got a hydraulic lift trolley similar to this?
-
Lol. Been hitting the vodka cruisers kief?
-
Wait...you've got a cervix on your right hand? Best get that seen to. Also you carry far too much "must be right to the nth degree" to be packing much more than an inch or two.

Must be side pipe week,I've been thinking about side piping my gate pipe.

Personally I'd send the ECU to injectronics first and get it assessed. If it's repairable it will make life much easier. If you need to replace the ECU you'll need to do the following- Physcially install the ECU Using a FORD IDS or Aftermarket unit (Bosch LT FLasher or Mongoose) Download and install the stock cal file (for the car not the ECU) Using the IDS/Bosch LT/Mongoose carry out a Parameter Reset and PATS Relearn so the ECU is paired to the BEM (body electronics control module) and the PATS (passive antitheft system)are both working correctly. If this is all done with a Ford IDS unit you're good to go. Otherwise you'll need Ford to carry out the PATs relearn so the ICC doesn't Display "Security Code Error"

I could do if for you but im on the otherside of the country. If they suggest you need to purchase any hardware to flash it they are going about the wrong way. http://www.injectronics.com.au/products/electronic-control-modules/ these guys are able to repair ECU's if you can have the car off the road during the repair.
-
Where are you located? There are several way to flash the correct file into the ECU, it's linked to the as built info attached to the VIN. If your mechanic is not famaliar with what is required or doesn't have the correct gear you might be better off going to see someone that does as it's a slippery expenisve slope burning up labour to get it right.

Toe angle is your issue. Total toe should be about half of what your seeing.

Haltech/Any other aftermarket ecu install/tune wou;d cost more than the value of the car. Does he have the gear to flash a stock factory calibration into the ecu?
