  1. I would never have a beer again if it was legal. My chosen industry means I'm not able to indulge but if I ever get laid off and have the opportunity to take an extended amount of time off I know what I'll be doing to unwind.
  2. So essentially you are using the abs module as a signal converter? The system can be setup with an aftermarket hall effect sensor and the correct tone ring to avoid using the abs module.
  3. Did you use factory ABS sensors for wheel speed/VSS input?
  4. Looking at this in detail it looks like a nice piece of kit, however someone would need to be willing to strip the TCM from a 6hp26 and rewire to run off the standalone controller (the unit is designed to run a 2011+ 6r80 which doesn't have an integral TCM) but the major flaw I see for us is all the mapping is TPS based load not MAP based. As we know with a turbo car under 100% TPS, TPS and Load don't always correlate.
  5. It won't unfortunately. Although mechanically similar the brain in the 6r80 is quite different. It would be far more cost effective to use a factory setup modified to suit. It can be done with just the PCM and wiring for the trans. transplanting into an older chassis that doesn't require BEM or ABS integration is a much easier task. OP it's entirely possible, as always best to start with a donor vehicle and make sure whoever you use understands the conversion otherwise the cost will rack up very very quickly.
  6. Now, I don't follow the footy per sae, but I'm fairly sure that's not the best idea?

    My Build

Thanks Brian, will be interesting to see how it performs at high revs Assume your running spark cut on the shift?
  8. What's kicking Radelaide? What's the hotness on a Thursday night in the Cbd?

Did you go with faceplated gears Brett?
  10. Not generally an issue with BA's, that's more of a BF deal. The dud coils causing funky dash and random neutral I mean. Sounds more like a poor connection or bad earth somewhere
  11. Took it out for a day in the sun after its been parked most of the winter.
  12. So anyway, here's wonderwall. Nice job Dan.
  13. LOL you've both dropped plenty of cradles....jus sayin
  14. I've not had my work IT security system or Telstra's own jazz actively block the site until after the upgrade Keif
  15. ^whs. First vid sounds like a whole lot of exhaust leaks, second sounds like a whole lot of normal.
  16. Yes and No The rating on the actuator is technically the minimum boost you can run. However this rule of thumb assumes the wastegate is capable of flowing enough to support the base boost pressure. If you install and properly setup a 15lb actuator on a stock turbine housing/wastegate port it WILL over boost as the wastegate will not flow enough to bypass suffcient exhaust gas pressure if opening from 15lb. Rule of thumb #2 is you should run a wastegate base spring pressure of aprox 1/2 your desired boost pressure. Again this assumes sufficient wastegate efficiency, but this may not give you the best turbo response. So a well ported wastegate (or external gate) and slightly higher than 1/2 spring rate will give you better response but also flow enough to control boost. All of the above assumes your intake and exhaust are also up to the task, so without know current mods/setup and what you're planning it difficult to give a definitive answer.
  17. @jeturbo, @ralphwiggum hasn't been able to login since the last "upgrade" lots and lots of malicious software and phishing warnings across varies devices and network connections. Eric, I've got one if you still need one.
  18. Very unlikely it's the TMAP at fault Has the car been tuned/fiddled with? Also the pic posted above is a non turbo TMAP sensor location. Turbo require removal of intake piping and throttle body to access the sensor.
