  4. Someone should start a thread asking if 18*8.5 +20s will fit.
  5. Just remember the tuning interface is only part of the deal. You also need equipment to measure afrs and monitor knock. The gear will soon pay for itself if you continue mods and don't have to pay for retunes. Plus the day you stop learning you die. So keep learning.

  12. How did I get dragged into this? Technically today im a back yard hack in the bush. (Pilbara specifically) Also Bosch Lt cost aprox 500 USD and a 72hr multiple vehicle licence is 30usd so it's quite cost effective and has payed for itself numerous times.
  13. Yeah understand the requirements for the smart coils but there are plenty of dumb LS1 coils out there. Actually looking at the wiring for the ls1 coils I think it would be possible to use them with some work. I think you would need to create a secondary power and earth harness and then adjust coil charge time in the tune to zero and run the current common power and earths switched by the ecu to operate the ignitors. Obviously some additional steps would be required to get the correct trigger voltage. Would be well worth it imho if it allowed you to run reasonable spark gap at big boost without spark boosters etc.
  14. You'll have to revert back to stock style coils. Thanks for the pic btw. Ive been comtemplating something similar.
  15. If they are dumb coils (ie no internal ignitors) it will be fine. Also, pics of setup?

  25. I say this with the utmost respect but if you aren't able to work out how to locate the abs sensor connector to disconnect it, a control blade replacement may not be the best task to tackle. They can be difficult to reinstall as the rear coil tends to push the upright out of alignment and make realignment with cross threading the rear bolts difficult.
