  1. love the stickers came up alright ay!!
  2. I would go straight over the pipe work and connections had a problem like this before with stock cooler and pipes as soon as I let the clutch out for the first time and didnt get it a rev beforehand the thing would nearly die. Turned out to be a loose as cooler pipe (hot side) aswell as a vac pipe hanging off from the inlet manifold. Hope that helps
  3. [ Geez mate that's soo unlucky I feel for you. I once had the problem with the turbo and ford bailed on the warranty but either way when we did the job checked the filter and the feed and return and both were clean as a whistle. Ive seen soo many garrett turbos fail moreso on the falcons then anything else though. You would have thought with the new turbo being built by gcg there woulkdnt have been any issues though. anyways I wish you all the best with it mate.
  4. Is there any reason why you used what looks to be 3'' pipe doing this job very curious, not knocking what you have done in any way as its prime to see people having a go at things for sure? Increasing the size of the hot side piping over the stock size what made you think of doing that was it mainly to shorten the pipe run or for power/performance? In turbo setups the hot side pipe should always be carefully matched with the size of the comp cover outlet. Adding a 3'' pipe for instance isnt gonna allow any more flow to run down that hotside pipe as it is restricted by the size of the turbo outlet prior to filling the 3'' pipe run. What I can see it doing straight up is decreasing the velocity of the air pushing through the pipe and possibly adding a micron of a cooling effect before it reaches the cooler. I see you said its an experiment so I thought I may aswell add my knowledge to this and it might help somebody out!
  5. Hey guys, Just changed the injectors on the falcon and have some trouble now. Ive taken the following items off. Battery disconnect few sensors off the plenum/block to relieve wiring that was interferring with rail hoses off the rail What I think ive done is switched the hoses around ie injlet and return lines. What I just wanted to know is if anyone here knows how the reg and rail configuartion is set out before I go swapping as they might be right??? mainly just need to know if the line from the filter ie inlet goes into the rail or reg feed? so theres only 2 and the one remaining will go to the other line. cheers guys any help would be great
  6. Yeah cheers to the forums and great people on them. You have a nice weekend too mate and again thanks!!!
  7. hahah yeah thanks man!! I just went out with the g/f and I double checked all the clips mainly on the throttle and air con and found it was the throttle clip lol Just came in to post sorry guys found it the silly little thing!! Cheers for the help though these forums are awesome for stuff like this! Pat on the back for (Xrfranjo)
  8. Hey guys, Just have a quick question. Just installed a plenum on the t and ive got a part left over I know goes somewhere but over a week has passed and I just got no idea where this come from. Its obviously from a factory plug but which one LOL its got me stumped. If anyone can remember where it came from that would be a great help at this stage. Cheers guys please see attached photo for refrence.
  9. Ahh cheers for the insight kyle much appreciated mate it was the same info I got from another guy locally but 2/2 you carnt beat that for confidence FACTOR. Should have just called and asked haha. Customer was happy to source a new bottom in time after I called him and told him the news about it. Always good to find a person that knows what there on about. I will throw a few pics of the fabrication and finished product when im done. Tried to knock a fair bit of it over today but these fords are fiddly little critters I tell you with all the wiring etc when your trying to remove the entire inlet manifold. Im stuck on if to cut the crank sensor plug off and re solder it on or to loosen the air conditioning compressor to squeeze the plug through as its all that stopped me from removing the inlet this arvo again friggin fiddly wiring!!! If anyones got any ideas apart from the above or knowledge that it will actually slide through with some patience that would also be handy help at this stage. cheers again mate Wayne
  10. Hey Guys, Just have a quick question regarding the lower half of the inlet manifold... Is the ba manifold the same as el,au ? in the lower section? Just had a rough looksee at it and remember working on one much the same years ago but it was the el and au falcons. Reason im asking is I have a custom inlet job im doing atm but the customer has requested that he wants the stock manifold intact for when he sells the car he can simply unbolt the alloy plenum and fit the stock one in place no fuss which is understandable. Id just like to know if the manifolds are the same in the lower section so I can source one locally to use for the job and seeing as though not many places have ba gear laying around locally and after looking at it I was like ok well what if I get an au one or even an el one come to think of it. Any suggestions here before I ring this guy back and tell him no can do would be great. I look forward to hearing back from some guys who know this as a fact Cheers guys

    Catch Can

do many guys fit these breather tanks into there falcons apart from the guys in this thread? Im thinking about doing a custom batch of breather tanks to suit the falcons. Any suggestions or ideas as to where the best spot to locate it would be great and also some ideas on shapes/volume etc would be handy as I will custom make them for the most popular size/shape/location. Seems a few guys just go the cheapest and most generic design possible lets think outside the square here but not to tricky so as we can keep the costs down. All interested parties throw up some ideas and suggestions and lets see if we carnt make it happen for everyones benefit. Cheers guys
  12. many many of the falcons ive heard including my own have all had this funny knocking type noise from the bottom end. I first thought its one of the idlers and that but im yet to really have a good look see at it. anyone had the noise and its mysteriously dissapered just as it appeared in the first place? Being too hard on the old donks I reckon haha.

    Aggressive Fish

my fish have been doing this for years and if there killing other fish then that's a problem whilst hes just a chaser that's cool you will get that alot adding alot of diff breeds and sized fish. I had one before that was soo bad I started actually giving him a timeout of water period which I wouldnt recommend but in my case it worked perfectly and I still have the fish to this day and he isnt starting nothing,Altrnatively you could put a little breeding tank up in the corner and when you see him doing it you could wack him in there for a half hour or something. It was like punishment I spoze and he soon realised hey I better not do that incase I get another time out... Have you actually got this sorted yet BTW? cheers
