  1. I got the 800 HP cooler with 3in piping kit (cold & Hot) as recommended by the boys at blue power
  2. @trumpy955 yeah I hope everything goes well too Thanks @Camo86T yeah, so it's a hybrid turbo (GTX core in my old housing which has been machined to fit larger GTX wheel) It's a pro-charge special and has been checked over. The power out put is low due to inter cooler limitations The blue power boys have assured me now that I have upgraded my cooler and once I fix trans issues will be seeing awesome power increase on next tune.
  3. Hey Guys sorry for not updating this thread been busy with work and actually totally F**kin forgot loll So here's my story I spoke to Blue power and they guided me the right way. @ May 2014 My stage 1 (Xcal 3 + IDs 1000 + venom cat + tune) $2750 @ blue power [278rwk] *BF F6 cooler (which I already had) *Custom CAI *IDs 1000 cc Injectors *Venom cat & pipe Was absolutely loving the power and the mid range was ridiculous Then I got bored of power and I purchased the below @November 2014 Stage 1.5 (323rwk) * Full X force turbo back Exhaust *Pro charge GTX3582 (Hybrid Turbo) * Plazmaman Surge tank and 044 pump *Plazmaman Fuel rail *Turbo smart FPR1200 Custom lines & Fittings Then a few weeks go by and I was loving the extra power and torque and started to notice my zf trans slip on the 3-4 Gear change. Diagnosis was warped clutches on the 4th gear. :( I then installed PWR heat exchanger for extra assurance over OEM cooler. I managed to find a replacement ZF trans which I installed and serviced but after loading it up on the Dyno found that there was a small issue with this trans as well and couldn't add more power with the addition of my new Plazmaman inter cooler and piping kit. Now I am deciding between ZF rebuild or TH400 build at the end of this year. Sorry for not updating Thanks
  4. Wow 381rwk stock air box and exhaust. im not going to upgrade the port till I get thirst for more power. I'll ask him next time I see him as I don't know exact temp.
  5. Thanks guys I have read stuff RE xr6 turbo and tuning and will ultimately go with my gut feel after I talk to some more tuners and money isn't going to restrict me as I know the tune makes o breaks the car. I do have a cold air intake box with pod filter that replaced the restrictive standard box. My mate's BF F6 typhoon has been comfortably running approx 15 psi at 310rwk for many 000's kms with no inlet temp issues or heat soak. He had his car tuned at Blue power racing developments and I have yet had time to have a chat with them about a tune and will do now that I'm on holidays.
  6. Yes I've heard of them and will go past their shop and have a chat with their tuner.
  7. Ok cool I'll get dump pipe as well. Trent is a very good tuner and is good with any cars that's why I want to tune at chequered. Do you have any recommendations of tuners in Melbourne?
  8. Hi guys, Bought my 2006 bf xr6 turbo a couple of months ago and have now started the process of getting modifications. I bought the typhoon intercooler, 80lb injectors and now will get walbro pump and upgraded Turbosmart Wastegate actuator. The tune will hopefully happen in about a month time at chequered tuning and will aim for 300rwk. I will upload the results when done so stay tuned. For the future I will upgrade to process west intercooler kit with dump and high flow cat upgrade and aim for 370-400rwk and probably upgrade the input shaft on zf trans.
