  1. hi, I had just experienced same problem.. mine was stalling a couple of times over past few weeks and after a throttle body clean it has seemed to have stopped that and now just coming up my street to home I backed of to slow down and it kept accelerating.. put clutch in and sitting about 2200 revs.. gave it a rev and still sat at 2200.. drove into yard and reved a couple of times and dropped down but when revving it would stay up around 2000-2200 for couple of seconds before dropping down.. turned off and back on and didn't do it again.. maybe time for new tps???
  2. will do mate, a mate is coming over tomorrow with some cleaner, will keep posted
  3. it has 193000 kms.. ive just done an oil change on it but was doing it before that.. so the same thing is happening when just sitting there on idle and it turns off by itself straight after start up??? also how too prove this when it does'nt do it all the time its had tune and different valve springs from previous owner would this affect any of this?? I have also just put a turbosmart dual port bov on, this wouldnt be causing any issues would it?? cheers
  4. hi guys/girls Not sure if this is the right area for this but in need of some help.. have only had car roughly 2 months a couple of weeks ago I was driving along coming up to my drive way and changed back gears to slow down and the car just stalled(very dangerous as power steering etc was all gone) and struggled to start again unless I kept the revs on her.. I thought it may have been the battery as I've heard some weird things happening to the fords when have low voltage such as alarm going off by itself (and as I had a computer hooked up to it to find another fault and low voltage was one of them). so I changed the battery (with second hand slightly smaller one) and all was fine, then bout a week later coming up to an intersection and it stalled again, started it and stalled straight away. tried a 3rd time and and kept revs on and was fine up until today. so before it happened today I went and brought a new battery as the one in it wasn't quiet big enough.. have just changed it now and thought I would let it run for a bit just to charge up the battery for a little bit and after about 5-10 mins after running fine it stalls.. tried starting again and just stalls.. tried couple of times kept stalling, started it and kept revs on stayed on but as soon as u let the throttle off it stalls. this kept on for a bit then I turned key fully off and tried 30 seconds later and it didn't do it again.. has this ever happened to any one else or does any one have any information for me, as I am a bit sketchy to drive anywhere at the moment as if it stalls while driving along at say 100 kms, its not real safe.. help much appreciated Cheers Leigh
  5. all is sorted now and sounding sweet.. had to put 4 washers in to stiffen spring.. happy with :D
  6. so the pressure side of the original bov is the short pipe at the back and the plumb back is the long one underneath or other way around ???
  7. hi guys, im new to the group and in need of some help, I have a 03 ba xr6T all standard gear under hood.. got a turbosmart kompact dual port bov to go on, and before any one else says theres already a post for it ive read it haha.. but I cant see the pics on the pinned post for some reason and reading some of the comments saying to run it the opposite to what the instructions say etc.. makes my head hurt.. if some one could upload a photo of how it looks on a stock setup of it on this post or email me one to vt20ec@gmail.com, would make my day alot better.. hope I can get some help and sorry if starting a new topic is the wrong way to go about it, only new cheers Leigh HSV-H8R
