Wing

Hey guys this is my first post here! Today I installed a Process West street air intake to my FG xr6t, When I'm driving I can hear it sucking in air quite loud but as soon as I let go the throttle it causes a loud whistle sound like air pressure! My mate thinks it's turbo back surge but I had no idea just an intake could cause it, everything on the car is stock including computer. Is this sound normal, good/bad and how I can resolve it?
