  2. yeah was kinda concern having the stone guard in place as I thought it will restrict the air flow plus having the trans cooler in front of the IC aswell I message the guy asking if he still had my stone guard and hopefully put it back on to protect it
  3. I got some cheap ones installed they don't look to bad at night but will like to upgrade to the cobalt ones will I need to rewire new ones in? or will the old wiring be able to plug in the new gauges and work??

Hi I just got my trans cooler installed into my 04 Ba xr6t yesterday its a H/D drive tech which is a quite long but only 1.5cm wide so it allows to my believe air to flow through it so it also hits the inter cooler it also is 2inchs off from the top of the lower bar so u can fit a hand just under the plate and touch the IC. I did ask him will it affect my cars performance coz It sit in front of my IC and I know the IC will need good air flow to work efficient he told me it wont and that he installed many like these into ppls turbo falcons. so im posting it up showing you what they did and would like to know or get any feed back to how it looks or if I could have done it differently mind u the whole set up was $500 installed I was quoted $1300 for trans cooler with its own fan and that wouldn't sit in front of it. also another note I gave her a boot full today seeing how hot the cooler got and didn't get hot at all so air must be flowing in nicely plus car feels like it pulls stronger and the gears hold nicely with no slipping at all mind you the car only has done 100300ks on it.

  6. I envy u ute drivers as I want one so bad my 04 Ba mk2 xr6t has only done 96500ks so far I love it but I don't drive it as much only when im bored I go for long drives and enjoy the sunset ahhh so magical =D
  7. Also my FG only has 106ks and I think it needs a expensive services :(

I can agree that the xr6 5speed auto is sh*t my car will clunk every time I go from p to r into d when cruising gears won't change properly and even when u punt it hard seem for it to take a few seconds before it starts to move I wish I went for the 6speed zf even my ba mk2 turbo 4speed trans goes better and harder then the 5speed
  9. I have a question if I was to buy a new set of gauges boost and a new oil pressure gauge will I need to rewire them up or can I some how use the ones that my car has atm want to replace my crap cheap ones now I have the $$$ any advice much appreciated cheers.
  10. abit late to the party but I tried this took me at least 25-30mins coz my top tube that connects to the top of the solenoid went over my bottom radiator hose making it almost impossible to remove I got there slowly and thinking carefully and did this little maintenance squirting wd40 into the top tube connect everything up so making it easy to get to again and went for a drive after 5mins of warming my car up and wow boost never came on as strong as it did just cruising along have it a bit of leg and man does it take off so l'm please =D

Hi I was thinking of upgrading the stock oil line feed to the turbo with a s/s braided oil line feed but im not too sure if I should wait till I recondition my turbo and do them at the same time or if I can do it now and not having to wait for so long my Ba xr6t has only done 96400ks on it would like some info if I should go ahead and do it now or wait till I recondition the turbo also what brand of s/s braided oil line do u recommend I should get and do they all have filters in them?? cheers.

Hey guys for those who don't know who I am well My name is Daniel I am now a proud owner of a 2004 Mk2 Ba xr6t which I bought for $10,500 with only 95000 kms on it and with the straightest body and cleanest interior ive ever seen even the engine bay is clean feels like a brand new car fresh out of the factory credit to the previous owner your a legend and when I drive it always puts a smile on my face and the kids love the new car coz it can choochoo they laugh when they hear it haha I also have a 09 FG xr6 nonturbo that is my daily drive car now. anyways back to the xr6t I will up load pics of the xr6t but for now here is one with them side by side old meets new.
  17. hmm buy a fg xr6t motor seems like an idea my Eseries falcon needs a engine rebuild as its nearing the 300k mark but still a good car

Hi guys Im new to this and ill get to the point I just recently purchased a FG xr6 non turbo and I have been thinking what if I could turbo my xr6 now what I need to know is can it be done and should I do it? I heard a complete engine rebuild may be necessary to help with the stress a turbo brings on a N/A engine and since most of the FG xr6t are well out of my price range with me being a single dad and not having the greatest job in the world also I am stuck in a 6year contract with this car, I would like to add a little performance to my FG xr6 and I just love how sexy an FG turbo looks. so I need to know should I do it and if so how much am I actually looking at? or should I just leave the xr6 as it is I do love how quick it is and how smooth it rides and how awesome it looks =D a more in depth my car is a 2009 FG xr6 N/A with the 5speed auto with 104k kms on it I don't drive it as much meaning I only drive it once a week to go pay the rent and then its garage trying to keep the Kms on it low I have a second car a EF falcon which is my daily drive from home to work and where ever im needed. any feed back would be nice than you.
